Chapter 113

“There’s not much left—go ahead,” I said, glancing up at him. I thought Kinn was going to help me finish the work, but he let go of my laptop and went back to his bed.

“What?! You’re not going to help me?” I asked, a little irritated. Even Vegas helped me until the work was almost finished. Plus, this was in English! Sure, I only had three more pages to get through, but those three pages were full of text.

“It’s your work. You do it,” Kinn replied breezily. He put on his headphones and reclined, tapping his feet. I huffed and looked at him in annoyance. Tankhun shouldn’t have come in when he did. If he’d waited just a little longer, Vegas would’ve finished the entire thing!

“Then you come and help me,” I told Pete, who had been standing to the side and watching silently.

“Ha! I only graduated high school, Porsche—how would I help you? I’m going to go find something to eat.” Pete left me and walked straight out of the room. I watched him go and turned back to my laptop screen.

“What’s your LINE ID?” Kinn asked suddenly.

“Why?” I snapped back at him.

“I can search for it with your number,” Kinn muttered to himself before my phone dinged with a notification sound. “Use this website as a reference; it’ll be easier.”

I looked down to see a new account had added me. I accepted the request. Kinn’s message included several articles from a website that confused me even more. Motherfucker! It’s all in English, you bastard!

“Send it to me to check when you’re done,” he said.

“Ugh!” I exclaimed, tired of Kinn’s shit. I slowly worked my way through with the information Vegas had left behind.

Kinn didn’t disturb me any further; he alternated between listening to music and playing games on his phone. I concentrated on my work, trying to get it done as quickly as possible.

Hmm… I stretched out, chasing away my fatigue. I looked up at the balcony to see that the sky had begun to darken. I’d spent quite some time working on this.

“If you’re done, send it to me,” Kinn said, pulling himself up to lean on the headboard. I couldn’t be bothered to argue with him, so I picked up my laptop and walked over. His face darkened as he looked through the slides.

“What are you doing, Porsche?” he asked sternly. I raised my brows at him.

“What?”

“Why is your grammar all over the place?” Kinn pointed at the screen, staring at me fiercely.

“You fix it, then,” I answered him nonchalantly.

“And why were the first few slides all correct…?” Kinn’s voice suddenly took on an edge. “Who did them for you?!”

“What, it’s just… Fuck it! I can only do so much. If it’s wrong, it’s wrong.” I slammed my laptop shut and picked it up from his lap. Kinn looked at me skeptically. Before he could find out who worked on the slides and go berserk, the nurse interrupted us.

“Time for your sponge bath, Mr. Kinn,” she said with a smile, blushing a little. I frowned.

“Oh…” Kinn sat up and moved to sit on the edge of the bed. I sat down on the sofa, arms crossed, silently glaring at him.

“We’ll have to remove your shirt first,” the nurse said. I immediately looked the other way. I let out a huff at the nurse’s bashful manner—her eyes had been sparkling when she looked at Kinn.

“You can just prepare everything and leave. I’ll have him do it instead,” Kinn said, pointing to me.

The nurse looked over to me. I made a bewildered face and pointed at myself. “Me?”

“Ah… Of course.” The nurse seemed disappointed, but she brought the bath stuff over and set it next to the bed. “Please be careful not to get the wound wet,” she instructed, and left.

I sat still, too afraid to move. Kinn stripped until he was bare from the waist up. I hesitantly glanced at him and felt my heart beat faster. Shit! I’d had all those fucking filthy thoughts about him when I was touching myself, too—what should I do now?!

“Make it quick,” Kinn demanded with a smirk. “I’m cold.”

“I… I don’t know how. You better call the nurse back to do it,” I replied, restless.

“Come here!” Kinn started to raise his voice. “I said come over here! Now!”

I scowled and walked straight over to him. “I’m afraid I’ll agitate your wound,” I told him, reluctant.

“It’s fine. Just do it,” he said.

I crossed my arms until Kinn pulled at my hand and held it against his chest. Touching his bare torso almost made me stop breathing. A heady rush surged inside me and threatened to burst. Sweat began to form on my face and my hands got colder. Ah! Get a hold of yourself, Porsche!

“What’s wrong? Your hand is shaking,” Kinn teased.

I took a deep breath and pulled my hand back. “Bastard!” Fine! I’ll just get it over with! Fuck! I wrung out the towel from the water basin and hastily wiped at his muscular chest.

“Heh,” Kinn chuckled and caught my wrist, stopping me. He forced my hand to move in a slow, careful motion. “Be gentle… Careful, now,” he whispered.

I looked away, feeling my heart beat erratically. His hand moved mine in slow circles against his chest before sliding down to his stomach, back and forth, again and again. My breath stuttered for a moment; I didn’t dare to meet his gaze or look at his body.

Thump! Kinn abruptly grabbed me by the waist and pulled me to stand closer to the bed.

“How can you be comfortable standing so far away?” he said. “Help me take my pants off.”

I stood still as Pete’s advice came rushing back to me: go with the flow. If I went along with what Kinn said, he’d get bored and stop provoking me. I bit my lip and threw the towel across the edge of the basin, giving him a long-suffering stare. I yanked his pants down, leaving him naked save for his black boxers.

Kinn stared at me in surprise, probably wondering why I was following his orders so easily. I picked up the towel, wrung it out once more, and cleaned his body attentively.

“That’s strange. What happened to you?” Kinn asked with a laugh. I paid no attention to him, trying to keep my emotions from exploding. I just wanted to get this over with as quickly as I could. I slid the towel to his shin and wiped gently.
