Chapter 246: Back To The Horror.

So our daughter tried to kill a friend, huh? Well, that was before Xinolily joined us. Was she originally a very violent Ancient Monster? No, I doubt that; Xinobouk was the standard for Ancient Monsters, not an exception. If so, how come Fiona got targeted by him so utterly quickly, and in the most extreme method at his disposal?

Assuming that Lily even recalls doing that, I’d imagine her answer wouldn’t be pleasing for Fiona to hear. I believe there to be an at least 99.99% chance that she marked the Mermaid for death…solely because Xinolily had, at the time, smelt, and or felt Celia on her. And while my wife didn’t do anything to Xinobouk, she still made them feel weak, which, unfortunately, was enough of an insult for him to carry a grudge. Lasting up until he became a she, and our now dearly loved daughter.

Munch!

Fiona: “Is this…a new form of torture?” She asked after finishing another bite of her meal.

Guanyu: “Shall I take away what you’re eating, and tell Celia that you are not interested in more of her wonderful cooking?” She replied with a calm smile.

Fiona: “…N-no, thank you. I’ll k-keep eating, don’t worry!” She quickly denied, returning to the food, but with more energy in how fast she was eating.

Frances: “…”

Lyrica: “…”

Vulely: “…”

Frankly, I’m pissed off that the family abused the mind reading abilities. If they didn’t do that, then I could have added so much to the narration; but, noooo! They (me as well) couldn’t help it. Now, the exact second that someone becomes a friend or part of the family, I can no longer listen in on their thoughts; unless I’m willing to upset my dearest lover.

Which, of course, I would never intentionally do. I am so used to not listening in on private thoughts…that I completely forgot to do it to Frances and her daughter, prior to them joining us. Celia wouldn’t ever consider rescinding this rule, either. After all, the privacy is amazing; as, for Higher Beings, it was mostly a given that someone was hearing your thoughts. To no one’s surprise, this family ban was adopted by Home, and is now a full law; making Home an even more luxurious final destination.

Lyrica: “Not to sound ungrateful, but it probably should be classified as a novel torture method.” She said with an oddly serious tone.

Guanyu: “How so? The meals were already splendid, and now, with so many more crafted by her, Celia’s cooking has improved to an impossible level. Just think about how delicious her non-Soul-Crystal recipes are…” She replied with a tone of absolute praise for her wife.

Lyrica: “That’s what I mean! You start eating for power, but that quickly devolves into enjoying each portion. And, finally, you eat, eat, and eat, feeling as if you should stop, but you just can’t.” She explained with a sigh.

Vulely: “Oh? That is some high praise, indeed. Although, does that mean you’re craving more Soul Crystal meals, Lyrica? Shall I tell Celia to make you some?” I added with a mischievous grin.

Lyrica: “(- _ -)”
