Chapter 247: Back To The Gift.
Guanyu took Fiona, Frances, and her daughter (those two are just visiting for now) to Home, while Celia and I went off on our own. Celia proved that she wasn’t a liability, so it was fine for there to not be as many people watching over her. And by that, I mean to say…even if something absurd does happen, it shouldn’t be unsolvable or unfixable.
It has been very quiet this whole time, with the only crazy thing being something which loosely, and indirectly related to my wife. Even assuming that something won’t happen…isn’t a jinx, either. No death/drama flags will be set, I swear this upon my pride as a narrator and as Celia’s spouse!
Celia: “Oh, right; I forgot to ask… Vulely, do you want some food?” She asked with a smile.
Vulely: “( o_o)”
Celia: “Not Soul Crystal infused food, mind you. Just the normal kind. I know that you aren’t really interested in gaining further power increases. It’s just that my skills have strangely improved, so I’m quite curious on how much better the food I make will taste.” She clarified with a laugh.
Vulely: “I desperately struggle to see how exactly your food could be improved, Celia. What if I literally have an orgasm from eating your new meals? Me, a regal Higher Being, married to you, taking a bite and then…” I replied with a shudder, then continuing with a silly potential scenario.
Celia: “Vulely, I truly do not think that’s possible.” She cut me off, saying this with a deadpan tone and expression.
Bang!
Currently, Celia and I were in a different Dimension. It was a medieval fantasy one, but it had something unique about it. There are firearms present here! While, yes, that isn’t so surprising, as any Dimension traveler or someone who got isekai’d could bring such technology to the very young Dimension. You see, I actually lied just now. Instead of a bang, it was a crack sound, similar to a whip, but far, faaar louder.
Crack!
That’s right, these people are shooting laser guns! Oddly, perhaps out of bad/good luck, sci-fi or futuristic things haven’t really shown up in Celia’s life so far. Developing normal firearms in a medieval time period is doable, but I doubt sci-fi weaponry would be something that just anyone could manufacture; even if they spent hundreds of years making just one weapon.
Vulely: “Since you’re speaking about eating, did you manage to locate who brought this level of tech to this Dimension?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.
Celia: “I have, yeah. It’s someone who is likely very pissed off about our presence. Not that it matters; they aren’t close to us in strength, no threat at all.” She answered with an unconcerned tone.
Vulely: “Anything special about them?” I asked yet another question in reply.
Celia: “It’s another version of me, but, like, an AI.” She nonchalantly replied with a giggle.
Vulely: “…”
