Chapter 244: I Hate It When This Happens!

Supposedly, I was on a group adventure, was I not? Surely, I haven’t forgotten about my new companions; no, never. Let me check real quick… Ah, good; they’re just slow flyers. If I don’t say anything, it won’t look like I’m a horrible and irresponsible teacher!

To be fair to me, running into someone that Celia knows is…impossibly disorientating. What is the luck of that happening? Celia had no choice of going to this Dimension, us coming here at random with no real goal in mind, secret or otherwise. Regardless, those two will soon emerge from the water, so I should hurry this up; lest I upset the younger generation.

Vulely: “Ancient Monsters do, quite often, hold grudges, and will chase someone down. Rather, it is quite odd that it didn’t come here to finish the job. Did this happen only a few days ago?” I mused with a thinking pose.

Fiona: “N-no way. If that’s true, then how would I still be alive? I’ve been in this Dimension for many years!…” She expressed with a tone and look on her face of total disbelief.

Vulely: “( o_o)”

Plop!

Before I could interrogate Fiona, Frances and her daughter showed up, now just idling in the water. I lazily signaled for them to come over to us, which they did, despite any fear the two might have. Returning to the important stuff… Fiona’s words are disturbing to an extreme.

A patient Ancient Monster/Beast is surprising, sure; but a forgiving one? Not a chance in hell! Don’t you recall how much Xinolily wanted revenge on Celia, even though my wife didn’t do really anything to her at all? That’s the standard for her original kind, as such, it is strange that her attacker hasn’t sought revenge. W-wait… please don’t tell me…I mean, it’d be really fucking funny, but, surely not, right?…

Vulely: “Frances, Lyrica, this is Fiona; she’s a friend of our group.” I explained, somehow managing to not let any laughter out, nor show those types of emotions on my face, either.

Frances: “Nice to meet you, Miss Fiona.” She said with a smile, noticing that Fiona wasn’t close to even her power.

Fiona: “You as well.” She replied with a nod and smile of her own.

Lyrica: “Did she deal with that unknown being before we could, Vulely?” She asked with a curious tone.

Vulely: “No, she’s the said unknown being. Turned out to just be someone we knew, and I was hoping that this could have been a great learning moment for you two. What a shame, truly.” I clarified with a disappointed, deep sigh.

Frances and Lyrica: “(- _ -)”

Damn, I broke them already. Celia was always better at slowly destroying a person’s mind, and I guess that I’ll never be able to reach her level of skill. Oh, well, no matter! They’ve stopped reacting to my antics well, so I’ve had my fill now. Besides, I have a newer target for my destructive desires…
