Chapter 232: Not Leaving The Negotiation Table Just Yet.
Celia: “Truthfully, entertainment is all that you can offer us. However, that really isn’t something that we’re lacking on; and none of us are the vain type of Higher Beings, ones that enjoy meddling in the lives of random Mortals.” She continued with a sigh.
Frances: “Then you really did come here on a whim?… That means we have no grounds to negotiate with you for anything at all…” She replied with her own sighful tone.
Lyrica: “M-Mom, we can’t let them leave so easily… Don’t you want to…be with me forever? What if Celia can give us immortality, or something close to it?” She added with a serious, desperate tone and expression.
Frances: “…”
Ah, so that’s why they were so close, huh. They did seem like lovers, but, as Frances and Lyrica are obviously blood-related…I brushed that idea off. These two being wives isn’t that big of a deal, though; considering how Higher Beings see incestuous relationships in general.
Mmm…age-gap, mother-daughter lesbian relations…so tasty! Or, perhaps that the side of me that Celia just mentioned, those meddlesome, Higher Being tendencies. In my defense, I haven’t done anything to affect this situation; I’m merely enjoying it. I am completely free of all sin and guilt!
Celia: “You don’t need to give me something in return for what I’m already willing to grant you both. It definitely wouldn’t be the first nor last time that I’ll give a new friend stuff or other benefits for free.” She clarified with a warm smile.
Lyrica: “E-even immortality, Celia? Is that really a thing that you could, and are willing to give to us, complete strangers?” She asked with a nervous tone.
Guanyu: “She can, yes. However, you must first understand how difficult of a decision that is to make. It won’t be the small kind of immortality that you’re likely thinking of. Rather, once Immortal, neither of you shall ever die, not even if you wish to do so.” She warned with a lecturing tone.
Frances: “I was already deeply lamenting our age-gap, and how I’d likely die far before Lyrica gets close to her own death. At least for me, I’d loved to be Immortal, and spend eternity with my daughter.” She said with a resolute expression.
Lyrica: “Me as well! Without this, there is no way for us to get even 1% of the time that we want to spend with each other, after all. Even if I have to offer you my very soul, Celia, I will give it away without a second thought!” She added with a similar resolute tone.
Celia: “Are you sure? As Guanyu said, there is no way out of this once you gain immortality. You’ll also get a System, an RPG-like thing that you, Lyrica, probably know of. Oh, and, there isn’t a cost; as I’m not a small-time Higher Being.” She asked in reply with a serious tone.
Frances: “Regardless of how many times either of you ask this, our answers will remain the same. Also, I’m quite shocked at the…lack of reaction from our romantic relationship being revealed.” She replied with a conflicted laugh.
Celia: “I don’t intend to ever marry any of my daughters, but incest isn’t really frowned upon at all in Higher Being circles. Hell, one of my mothers is actually married to a daughter of mine, funnily enough. Or was it my granddaughter? Hmm…I don’t quite recall at the moment.” She nonchalantly explained with a happy, reminiscing smile and tone.
Frances and Lyrica: “(O.o)”
