Chapter 233: A Bit Conflicted By How Easy It Was.

Frances: “You mentioned that it was free for us, but…is there some cost to that you’ll have to bear, Celia?” She asked with a serious thinking pose.

Celia: “Me? No, there isn’t any downside for me making you two into Immortals. I mean, it is something outside my power; I’ll just be helping you both along.” She denied with a giggle.

Lyrica: “Okay, but what about, like, a ritual? Will countless souls be consumed to make my mother and I into Immortals?” She added with a worried tone.

Guanyu: “Hm… in my Cultivation world, there were certainly evil methods such as those around, but not even I would do them. And, as far as I am aware, there isn’t anything such as that for Higher Beings.” She explained with an unsure tone and expression.

The Cultivator is correct, in a way. There is very likely methods like those Lyrica mentioned for us as well; but, with the System, there was never a reason to bother figuring out ritual sacrifice methods for gaining power or immortality.

A Higher Being could destroy an entire Dimension, killing trillions, if not quintillions, and most wouldn’t bat an eye. Now, if they did that purely to gain power, consuming the reaped Souls, then they’d feel the wrath of every Higher Being that found them. Like with Mortals, Higher Beings have a unique sense of common morals…

Frances: “If it is so easy…then, please forgive me for asking something extra from you, but would it be possible for my…um…appearance to be improved? I’d hate for Lyrica to have to be with me forever, despite getting stuck with some unfortunately aged parts of my body.” She pleaded with a red face and deeply embarrassed tone.

Lyrica: “Mom, there isn’t anything wrong with your body! Sure, there are some stretch marks, love handles, skin imperfections, etc. but that isn’t something to go so crazy over. I love every single part of you, Frances.” She coaxed with a loving tone, honestly just wanting to not lose out on what Celia is offering them, solely due to this selfish ask from her mother.

Celia: “Your definition, or rather, understanding of immortality is incorrect, you two.” She replied after doing a hearty laugh with Guanyu and I.

Frances: “W-what are you saying exactly, Celia?” She shakily replied, confused as can be.

Celia: “In reality, your body and time will not be frozen; you’ll continue to be, age as you please, look as you wish. Your Soul will become eternal, not specifically your vessel.” She clarified with a smile.

Lyrica: “You mean to say…” She was cut off by my wife’s next action.

Poof!

Celia: “Like this, see? The only limitations are your individual imaginations, and desires. I’m not giving this cute couple some shitty, worthless version of immortality.” She continued with a bright tone, voice decently high.

Frances and Lyrica: “(~OAO)”

With a bright aura around her, Celia quickly transformed her body to that of an already blossomed teen; a fitting, white one-piece dress appearing on her as well. Lyrica and Frances were now completely elated, while I and the other wife present…had gained new, somewhat dark desires for Celia. She shouldn’t have done this in front of us, is aaaaall that I’m saying, you see; hehehehe…
