Chapter 231: Letting Them Know Her Limitations.
Lyrica: “…”
The younger woman was still silent, not talking for the rest of the drive. Lyrica was stunned, not able to comprehend her situation just yet. Although, I think that she’ll wake up soon, going by this Mortal’s personality.
Frances: “Can we truly not pay for your designs and materials, Miss Celia?” She asked with a slightly pleading tone.
Celia: “Unfortunately, the entire wealth of this planet as a whole…wouldn’t amount to just 0.1% of my current funds. By that, I mean my money; that isn’t counting the wealth of my wives, family, or friends.” She answered with an awkward laugh.
Frances: “…”
Currently, we were now in the mother-daughter duo’s estate; relaxing with tea and treats. Once more, this place, while grand, clearly proving that Frances is very, very rich, doesn’t hold up to where we live. Though, it has one thing that we lack in our estate…
That being very cute maids, great eye candy! Thankfully, their employer must have warned them ahead of time to not try and seduce any of us, as they’ve been very respectful and calm. With such beauty, I have no doubt that Frances has secured many business deals with them helping out the negotiations.
Frances: “Then…if we have nothing to offer you, why come with us? Miss Celia, you don’t strike me as the type of person to so cruelly mess with the lives of Mortals. So, I assume that you at least have a decent enough reason to let my daughter and I take you home, at least for a Higher Being.” She asked with a thinking pose.
Celia: “Most Higher Beings kinda just let life happen around them, something which I, being quite young, don’t do. My family says that it’s a skill which I need to acquire, apparently; and going with you is doing just that, I think.” She replied with a smile.
Lyrica: “I-is there a reason why they aren’t speaking, Celia? Like, something bad…” She was cut off.
Guanyu: “To not let Celia drift from her training, being quiet is the correct course of action for us. Rest assured, while she is our wife, Celia isn’t some domineering, horrible person, who doesn’t let her lovers talk to other people.” She clarified with a stern tone.
Lyrica: “…But you two…” She was cut off again.
Vulely: “Threatened your life? Well, if you understood how amazing Celia is…you’d think that we were actually holding back by quite a lot.” I add with an ominous tone and expression.
Lyrica: “( ’-’ ~)”
You know, I do find these two a bit interesting. When faced with such beings, I think that the average Mortal would, like, ask for Immortality, or foolishly request us to grant them one wish.
And having nothing to offer? I (inwardly) beg to differ, Frances; a few of these maids will go a long way if offered to us. Huh? When did I become so damn perverted? Upon my very birth, of course!!! Hehehehehe…
