Chapter 230: Something, Something, Celia Mind Breaks People.
Lyrica: “Regardless, your wives can’t just murder whoever touches you, Celia. They certainly wouldn’t get away with it, killing my mother and I. Our maids are also trained to be bodyguards, as well.” She expressed with a prideful and smug tone.
Frances: “Dear, they were clearly just joking. Now…those designs are amazing, and the material for them…are the same. Can we make a deal on both of them?” She asked with a serious, business-like tone.
Celia: “I mean, that’s actually a pretty big ask.” She replied with a thinking pose.
Lyrica: “Celia, we more than have enough money for you and your lovers to never need to work again in your lives; so just say the price.” She added with a domineering tone.
Ah, how sad… These two aren’t yet aware of what we are, and that Mortal money doesn’t interest us even slightly. A few Soul Crystals could easily buy out this entire planet; so, even if they offer literal billions for what they desire, it wouldn’t move the needle, or budge us in any meaningful way.
Celia also isn’t being unwilling due to that, though. Instead, the money doesn’t matter, what does is…the time investment. Of course, when considering that my sister wife and I are intending to break Celia into being okay with not caring about ‘wasting’ time, this little, mother-daughter duo distraction is perfect.
Snap!
Celia: “You see, we’re Higher Beings, who are merely exploring around this Dimension randomly. We’re here on a break from an important task, so your request is a bit difficult for me to accept. The designs are my own, and the materials are as well.” She informed after snapping her fingers, making few sets of outfits appear, and sheets of cloth.
Lyrica: “( ? _ ? )”
Frances: “Do you mean that the manufacturing of the materials is…owned by you? Or do you make them some other, magical way?” She asked with a curious thinking pose, oddly calm.
Celia: “Specifically, the materials are created via my Mana. Or rather, they were; I then moved on to Divinity, before now making most things out of Pure Mana.” She clarified, her words only adding further confusion, Celia putting too much stock in Mortal knowledge and understanding.
Frances: “That so? Interesting… Is there a way that we could…” She was cut off.
Lyrica: “M-Mom?! How are you so okay with this? Celia just did…used Magic, or something…” She replied in grand confusion.
Frances: “Sweetie, you have to learn to not be surprised in business. This is a first for us both, but there is no reason to be so shocked, nor afraid.” She coaxed in reply with a motherly smile.
Lyrica: “…Wait, then they weren’t joking about killing me.” She said with a quiet, weak voice.
Frances: “That’s right; so don’t touch either of them again, especially not Celia. Losing you because of a random Immortal getting angered…isn’t anything that I want to experience, Rica.” She whispered into her daughter’s ear, a stern warning, and a soft plea.
Celia, Vulely, and Guanyu: “…”
The silly Mortals are super not aware that we can hear their voices. For standard Higher Beings, their assessment isn’t that wrong, but it is far, far off the mark for us. Killing them for touching Celia is a horrible idea, as it’d upset our wife a lot. Unhappy wife, unhappy life, and all that…
