Chapter 228: Indoctrination Is Best Served By A Family Member.
Technically speaking, the wedding is in a few months, so Celia does have a reason to feel bad about wasting time. However, that event can be easily rescheduled, without a single hint of a downside in doing so.
Although the invitations are almost complete, they don’t have a set date on them. Rather, they’ll be sent out at the same exact time, so there wasn’t a need to add that kind of information. And, considering how picky and detail oriented Celia’s wives (me included) are…it wouldn’t really be surprising if it got delayed once more.
Guanyu: “Vulely is absolutely correct, Celia. When I lived in my original world, thousands upon thousands of years could go by, all without anything interesting happening in the slightest.” She lectured with a stern tone.
Vulely: “See?! Even the wise Cultivator thinks the same as me, dear.” I add with a boasting tone and expression.
Celia: “Listen, I get both of your viewpoints, I do. It’s just that… I find it impossible to sit still for extended periods of time.” She admitted with an embarrassed tone.
Guanyu: “Is that not from your…what is it called? ADHD? Doctor Hoshina should have a way to help you with that, Celia.” She warmly suggested.
Celia: “( ’-’ ~)”
Unfortunately, Celia couldn’t use any medication for her ADHD. After experimenting with Doctor Hoshina, the typical knowledge was proven correct again; that Mortal drugs don’t work for Higher Beings. Though, it wasn’t actually for the reason most would expect, such as being immune, Mana Beings, Divinity, an Immortal body, etc.
Instead, it is purely due to how Higher Being body have a ridiculously efficient metabolism. For example: When she took around 12,000MGs of the most effective ADHD medicine (amphetamine mixed salts), Celia felt its effects for only a few minutes. And since Celia’s ADHD isn’t that bad, Doctor Hoshina is more focused on developing medication that can work for all Higher Beings, rather than just meds for Celia’s problem.
Celia: “It isn’t primarily the ADHD; I can focus better than most with it. I can’t really recall a time when I was doing nothing on my own volition, I’m always moving forward…” She clarified with a sigh.
Vulely: “The only problem is that you feel bad about spending your time in an unproductive manner. When it comes to us, we don’t really care if you take a thousand years to find a gift, delaying the wedding until then.” I replied with an unbothered shrug.
Guanyu: “Yes, to us, that amount of unproductive time isn’t an issue. Celia, you should truly learn to stop thinking like this; it isn’t good for your health, and is incompatible with how your friends and family live.” She added with a stern, but coaxing tone.
Celia: “( o_o)”
And thus, Guanyu and I decided to put everything else on hold for now. Our wife needed to willingly learn our ways, you see. There is no better method of correcting her mind than to…wander around this Dimension, shopping, or doing every other leisure activity available that it offers!
