Chapter 218: I Stand By The Last Chap Title.

Vulely: “A year until?…” I said with a frustrated and forcefully calm tone.

Guanyu: “I have a year to learn how to restrain Celia. If I don’t figure it out by then…I’ll just give up. There are other bed plays that I could do instead, after all; and Celia is always down for anything.” She clarified with a wistful, oddly serious tone.

Vulely: “(- _ -)”

For one, that isn’t true. Celia refuses to do sexual with urine or fecal matter, and isn’t willing to get rough with the wives of hers that are masochists. I won’t say who it is…but one of my sister wives would just love for Celia to temporary remove her limbs during sex; if you get my meaning…

Regardless, such things are to be kept out of the narration, as smut isn’t the main focus of it. Of course, since we’re Higher Beings, most of us are kinky as all hell (Guanyu is, as you’d expect, the kinkiest), so there could easily be 10,000 chapters purely dedicated to our sexual antics.

Vulely: “Runeth, Guanyu is having too much fun messing with me… Do please enlighten your dear mother on the true severity of the situation.” I pleaded with a deep sigh.

Runeth: “Hm? Oh, sorry… I tried to pretend that none of this happened.” Was her confused reply, expression deadpan.

Vulely: “…”

Runeth: “Rather than a year, we only have a month to fix this. Which is why such drastic measures were needed; having to convince everyone would just take far too long.” She explained with a serious tone, as if she wasn’t just being silly.

Vulely: “And…you aren’t trying to trick me, Runeth?” I replied with a raised eyebrow.

Runeth: “Clearly, kidnapping this group wasn’t… fully required; but, yes, I’m telling you the truth, Mom. I had forgotten how absurd that Guanyu can be sometimes…” She answered with an awkward laugh.

As a loving mother, I believed my daughter entirely. However, the doomsday event coming so soon…that I still fail to comprehend. What could have caused this without our express knowledge? Perhaps it went without saying, but our group are basically the protectors of…literally everything!!!

Confirming this danger wasn’t hard, though. Merely closing my eyes for a few minutes, I did as Celia taught me, looking at the flow of Mana and Divinity. I wasn’t able to see Pure Mana, but that isn’t really important. Divinity, Mana…the supply was nearly spent, with the production of it no longer being enough to meet demand.

Vulely: “Wait… I don’t think that this will affect us for a long time. We’ll have thousands of years of safety at the bare minimum.” I said with a thinking pose.

Guanyu: “That’s correct.” She replied with a lazy tone, as if I said something redundant.

Vulely: “Then…” I was cut off.

Runeth: “In a month, the starvation of Mana and Divinity will start to kill off entire Dimensions, and even some of the weaker Universes. Once that happens, the supply will settle, and nothing bad will occur from us ignoring this.” She corrected with a deeply serious tone.

Guanyu: “I care not for random Mortals and Immortals that are unrelated to us. Unfortunately, Celia will feel responsible for the deaths, and would be very likely at that point to consider suicide.” She added, clarifying why we did have to care about this problem.
