Chapter 207: A Simple Explanation, Which Changes Literally Everything!
Something like this shouldn’t have happened this late in my narration, but, Celia was…always one to foil the plans of anyone wanting a calm life. The extent of how drastic this reveal ends up being… can’t ever be understated.
As I sit here, a month later, parsing her words, none of us have come to a decision yet. And by that, I mean to say…we aren’t sure if letting this information out is safe or not. You, too, will soon understand why we’ve become deadlocked on this, and have even delayed the wedding a bit.
Celia: “Do you all recall have we often…make fun of other Higher Beings, those whom don’t know how to properly utilize Divinity?” She asked with an awkward tone.
June: “We do; but, in our defense, that is merely because of their laziness. Divinity was only a currency, as 99% of Higher Beings weren’t using it well at all.” She said with a shrug, feeling no remorse for their shamings of others (neither of us have ever directly shamed someone for this), even slightly.
Xena: “Celia… are you implying that, like them, we are also not making efficient use of Divinity? Even with our better understanding of that resource?” She asked with a curious, disbelieving tone.
Celia: “Divinity, Mana, and, for Pure Mana Beings, Pure Mana itself; those Magical energy sources aren’t understood well. Since I was bored, I decided to do some thinking over at least Divinity, trying to help Runeth out. And, in doing so, I learned that…we’re all silly.” She answered with a groan, the woman herself feeling as if she’s come across forbidden knowledge.
Vulely: “To not hurt us too much before you explain what you’ve discovered; do please give us a blunt and highest estimate of how well we’re utilizing those resources at the moment.” I asked with a broken, pleading expression.
Celia: “Divinity is at 5%, Mana is at 9%, and Pure Mana…is no higher than 0.8% utilization.” She answered, serious, remorseful; very much unlike how my wife normally divulges such horrific truths upon us.
Everyone: “…”
For far too long, we were all hoping that Celia was joking, or exaggerating her claims. But those words were never declared as a prank, nor would my wife do something like that to us. Listen, while I’d understand that this is confusing, the absurdity is worse than most (even Higher Beings) would guess. If true (it is), for example: that means Celia can be, at a minimum, close to 90% more powerful than expected.
For Pure Mana, if that can increase her strength as well…then I don’t want to even torture myself over the math of how much stronger she’d be. The utterly horrid part of this discussion? Celia didn’t solely figure this out, she also found the method of properly using those resources at 100% utilization. Guanyu would soon prove this to us, nonchalantly…
