Chapter 117

When we got back to the house, he dragged me out of the car, not caring whether anyone might see us. Arm and Pol ran over but were driven back by Kinn’s shouting. Even Big was pushed to the side.

In the end, Kinn flung me onto his bed, momentarily knocking the air out of my lungs.

“The fuck are you doing?!” I demanded, glaring at him.

“So you fucked him, huh?!” Kinn stood there with his hands on his hips, his expression that of barely controlled fury.

“I didn’t fuck him! And I don’t want to fuck him!” I snarled, shaking with anger.

“Then answer me—why did your ass hurt the other day? And why did Khun see Vegas shirtless in your room with you?!” Kinn interrogated me, then rubbed his face and loudly huffed.

“I told you, I fell! And I spilled boba on his shirt, you bastard! Why do I have to explain everything to you?! I didn’t do anything wrong, you asshole!” I threw pillows and blankets at Kinn, but he deftly dodged them.

“My brother saw it! Why the hell was Vegas in your room?!” Kinn’s expression had begun to ease up, but his voice was still strained.

“You seriously believe your lunatic brother? Vegas was just here to visit! Fuck!” I snapped, clenching the bed sheets in a tight grip. I didn’t understand why Kinn was so furious.

I didn’t understand anything at all right now.

“Hah!” Kinn smirked as he looked at me incredulously.

When I saw his expression, I got up and yanked his shirt collar. “I hate you, you bastard!”

“Porsche! Stop it! What was I supposed to think? You and Vegas were acting so friendly!”

I hit and pushed at Kinn until he caught hold of my wrists, making us both tumble back onto the bed. I refused to let go of his collar, shouting at him indignantly.

“I’ve had enough of this! You’d better stop talking to me. Stop looking at me. Stop everything! Don’t make me feel more disgusted than I already am!” I let out all of the emotions that were suffocating my heart. Kinn’s gaze started to soften.

“Porsche! Stop!”

Kinn squeezed my wrists until it started to hurt. I turned away from him, and both of us fell silent. The tension in the air was stifling enough to drown us. Neither of us wanted to say what we were feeling; the only sound in the long silence was our gradually slowing breaths.

“Come here!” Kinn seized my shoulders and moved me to face him, before sitting down on the bed beside me. “Were you hurt anywhere?” he demanded, annoying me even more.

“Why don’t you ask me tomorrow?!” I snapped back, but I stayed still and allowed Kinn to gently brush his finger against my brow.

“When Pete called to say that Vegas was with you, I drove out there as fast as I could.” Kinn’s voice had softened a bit, but he was clearly still irritated.

“Vegas came to help me! I was targeted again,” I explained.

Kinn frowned, then slowly sighed. I grabbed his hand to stop it from roaming over my face. “I’m asking you seriously, Kinn: why did you get so angry at Vegas?”

Kinn’s steely gaze began to tremble. I could see the confusion in his eyes, as well as a feeling that I didn’t quite recognize. I didn’t know what he was thinking. Was he angry because Vegas was from the Minor Clan and trying to recruit me?

Or was he angry…because Vegas had gotten too close?

“You really didn’t do anything with him?” Kinn asked me again, adjusting his expression. I felt a heaviness in my heart. I was numb all over, confused.

All sorts of emotions churned inside of me. I slumped my head onto his shoulder before I admitted in a trembling voice:

“I can’t get it up with anyone else…”
