Chapter 239: Light Talk In The Deep.

Lyrica: “Can you explain why we can’t swim like you, please?” She asked with a groan, seemingly upset that she must fly in the water.

Vulely: “Why did you wait literal hours to ask this question again? And, like I’ve already said, you’d sink. Of course, you won’t die; but it won’t be a fun experience for anyone involved.” I replied with a shrug.

Frances: “Yes, we understand the end result, Vulely. It’s just why that’ll happen, that’s what we’re curious and confused about.” She clarified in her daughter’s stead.

Vulely: “To swim like this requires…first, do you two swear to not try and do this? I very much do not want to go deep sea fishing for a reckless companion of mine. Let alone more than one of them…” I expressed with a serious tone.

Currently, we were far deeper in the ocean than any person on this planet has ever seen before, actually still needing to go a bit further in to find our destination. Several times have this duo pointed out sea creatures, calling them Monsters, just for said creatures to be normal, non-fantasy ones.

Monsters, with very few exceptions, do not have Souls; but quite a few non-humanoid beings, such as fish, dogs, cats, most mammals, some insects, etc. do have Souls, regardless of how small their Souls are. Deep sea creatures are, yes, very nightmare inducing, but, so far, not a single one was an actual Monster.

Frances: “Vulely, I understand that you likely see us as very young and foolish, but, with your several warnings, attempting to do what you’ve advised against…would be supremely silly. After all, you tend to be on the whimsical side, rarely being serious with others.” She said with a confident tone and expression.

Vulely: “Depending on how badly you fail in doing the method, you could even sink below the earth’s crust, and out into space. I am not joking, nor exaggerating this even slightly. Lyrica, you understand this as well, right?” I spoke to the daughter directly, seeing how the mother is unlikely to do what I’ve warned to not do.

Lyrica: “I won’t, that I’ll swear to! Vulely, I’m a bit silly, I know; but please don’t forget that I’m not even a young adult. All things considered, my mother and I have taken this drastic change of our lives quite well, and calmly; please at least acknowledge us for that.” She answered with a serious tone.

Vulely: “I do, don’t worry. You two not acting like a shitty isekai protagonist is, in reality, quite rare. Usually, they have to get some kind of punishment to realize that they aren’t infallible.” I replied with a praising tone.

Frances: “Oh, that’s…concerning. What is the method for a Higher Being to swim, Vulely?” She asked, noticing that her daughter was trying to seem more mature than she has been acting lately.

Vulely: “You merely need to increase your weight, as, technically speaking, Higher Beings are kinda weightless. Coating yourself in Mana or Divinity will work, but, without careful practice, it is unfortunately very easy to accidentally make yourself too heavy.” I explained with a lecturing and stern tone.

Frances: “(~OAO)”
