Chapter 220: It Was All Pointless!

By the grace of teleportation, my wife didn’t hear our conversation. Though, she still barged in on an…interesting sight; several of Celia’s wives bound within Guanyu’s room. Since the Cultivator was still respected and feared, no one made it look like they needed help.

Instead, the chained and gagged women acted casual, as if they were consenting to this odd event. While a bit extreme, them, and even me as well, are actually curious about Guanyu’s experiments. For the dominant wives of the harem, Celia not being able to fully be submissive and at our control, due to the gap in power…is something that we’d like to fix, if possible.

Celia: “Oh, it seems that you did manage to figure out a method of binding powerful being. Would it work on me?” She asked with a thinking pose.

Guanyu: “Rather than using overwhelming power or force, I’m exploiting the holes in their Divinity; thus, they can be restrained without much effort on my part. Though, I don’t think I’ll try it on you just yet, Celia. I am not ready for that potential disappointment, and prefer doing more tests first.” She explained with a strangely serious tone.

Celia: “I see, I see. Perhaps you can finish it before the wedding, that’d be great.” She replied with a wistful laugh, before approaching her wife.

Kiss!

Everyone else: “…”

Celia trusted us to a fault, which isn’t something about her that we can ever change, unfortunately. To her, the likelihood of one of us doing something horrible is very, very low; possibly in the realm of 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%, or some other absurdly small value.

In that way, you can imagine that doing things behind Celia’s back is quite easy. Like as Guanyu just so lazily proved, yes, that is absolutely the case. Thankfully, our SN Stats were all low enough to where we wouldn’t bother with doing such things.

Guanyu: “Dear…” She said with a small, worried voice after parting the kiss.

Celia: “Hm? What’s wrong?” She replied with a confused head tilt, wiping Guanyu’s saliva off her mouth with the back of her hand.

Guanyu: “You seem…weaker by quite a noticeable amount.” She mused with a serious expression, looking her wife all over, trying to find what was wrong.

Celia: “Ah, that’s what I came here to talk about. You see, my resource usage methods have a funny downside…” She replied with an awkward tone and laugh.

Runeth, in (silent) horror, listened in on Celia’s next words. Her mother had already figured out the future Divinity and Mana starvation issue on their own. Celia even did what Runeth suggested, using her Mana, Pure Mana, and Divinity to supplement those resources for…literally everyone.

She even said that this was caused by her discovery. With Celia’s method, every resource is fully used up, none of the lingering bits of it (which Celia and Runeth theorize is around 99% of whatever resource) returns to the main supply. Celia doing this would, as you’d expect, over maintain the supply for eternity…
