Chapter 210: After A Time Of Calming Down, Back To The Problem.
Regardless of her good intentions, releasing this method was far too dangerous. As such, it was only told to those we trust, with other Higher Beings needed to go through a verification process, and signing a Soul Contract to not leak anything, before they can then receive this forbidden knowledge.
Though, there was still a far more simple, and less absurdly destructive, dumbed-down method, which we did freely release. Perhaps this sounds unfair, but I assure you, gatekeeping that info is our responsibility. As an example: If a Mortal used the full method to cast a small fireball, etc. it’d turn into a literal nuke. Now, imagine how much more powerful an even weak Higher Being would become…
Pomf!
Vulely and Runeth: “…”
Since the tasks that appeared from Celia’s new…understanding are now dealt with (it took two months), we went back to focusing on the wedding. Thankfully, Celia and Ria were able to handle it (the method, not the wedding) on their own, only needing small bits of help from Runeth, Runey, and Ruina. So, in reality, there wasn’t actually any delays to the ceremony.
Listen, when you have to prepare for such an event, one which will host literally everyone in existence, it takes time to work things out. No one has even attempted doing something like this before, and we don’t wish to accidentally kill people in the process, so we’re taking this as slow as required. We’d rather not have our wedding end up as a sad bloodbath, after all…
Runeth: “Unlike all the other times when Celia did crazy shit, this one is just…incomprehensible. That is, despite it being something that anyone can utilize.” She voiced with a broken tone and expression.
Vulely: “My dear daughter, you should be focusing on the positives from this, not the mind breaking aspects.” I suggested with a warm tone, rubbing her head.
Runeth: “Of course, there are many positives. Celia basically made it so no one has to be over Level 1,000; since now, such a Level is equivalent to Level 100,000.” She mused, trying to delude herself into finding this situation sane.
Vulely: “Hm? While that’s true, it wasn’t what I meant, Runeth.” I replied with a giggle.
Runeth: “?”
Currently, Runeth and I were testing out sending invitations. It was pretty easy, with our new knowledge of resource usage, to have Divinity Paper survive even a trip across Universes. The letter before us, which just returned, finished its 5,000th run.
In fact, a piece of Mana Paper can survive now; so it is even less of an issue to make invitations, one type forceful, the other an actual choice if the receiver wants to attend the wedding. It’ll still be a task, due to the problem of…needing to figure out how many Mortals, Immortals (because one can be Immortal without being a Higher Being), and Higher Beings there are in existence. Let alone making all the invitations in the first place…
Vulely: “After this, there is no way in hell that Celia will make us go crazy from her doing something else absurd. She’s set such a high bar!” I explained, as my daughter was left stewing in her confusion for long enough.
Runeth: “(- _ -)”
