Chapter 205: Mother-Daughter Workshopping.

Vulely: “You know, we could probably just ask Celia to figure this out. I bet that she’d do it, coming up with a solution in less than a day of thinking…” I suggested with a thinking pose.

Runeth: “Oh, absolutely. However, getting her to do it…would be wrong. The only cost to us is time, which is far less pricey than using the easy, ultimate solution that is Celia. Wouldn’t want our SN Stats to willingly get higher, after all.” She replied with a scoff.

Vulely: “True, true. Can’t force her to do everything, even though she is the protagonist.” I agreed with a sigh.

Runeth: “…”

Currently, still in her workshop, Runeth and I were at one of the desks. Rather than physical work, we’re still in the thinking phase of this little issue. Though, some things can be figured out right now, such as what material that should be used.

There is no way in hell that we can use mere paper that Mortals commonly make do with, since it wouldn’t survive even 1% of the trip. It isn’t that common, but needing to send letters (prior to Runeth adding the messaging feature to the System) across Dimensions did happen often enough to…warrant some advancement in that field. Specifically, paper forged from Divinity can be sent from Dimension to Dimension, without any worry of the letters being destroyed in the process.

Poof!

Runeth: “…”

Vulely: “…”

Runeth: “Just as I expected; Divine Paper can’t last through being transferred between Universes. Seeing it ripped up like this… does make me glad that we can safely travel between Universes and Dimensions.” She said sharply, biting her fingernail a bit, looking at the shreds of the Divine Paper that she just sent out and called back.

Vulely: “Darn… The easiest solution is, obviously Pure Mana formed into paper, right?” I mused with another thinking pose.

Runeth: “Definitely. Unfortunately, Celia tried, and can only make around 1,000,000 Pure Mana Papers per day; it’d take a hundred, if not thousands of years for her to make enough. Even then, only Pure Mana Beings can actually teleport that paper back and forth, so it is useless to us.” She explained with a deep groan.

Vulely: “( ’-’ ~)”

Runeth: “Also, why did you call Celia a protagonist? While you’re a narrator, this is real life, Mom.” She scolded, tone oddly very serious.

Vulely: “I know, I know; but she is the protagonist of my narration. Don’t worry, I didn’t randomly become delusional, or anything like that.” I answered with a reassuring and calming tone, with a hint of motherliness added in.

Frankly, the reason that things have been slow…is because I (thankfully) haven’t had to do much retracing of past events. That is to say that, I’m living in the present, narrating over what I find interesting enough. I can do it, but peeping into the constantly changing future…doesn’t really sound fun to me, not at all. And right as I was about to focus on figuring out a solution to our material problem, my dear wife popped up behind us…
