Chapter 1671: I Want to Know Why, Too

Julie wore a troubled expression, sighed, and analyzed, "Logically, this is abnormal. Prince Taylor has always been favored, even when Prince Louis returned, the King didn’t treat him differently. So why suddenly, for Jocelyn Morgan, did he speak so harshly to Prince Taylor?"Catherine couldn’t figure it out either; the more she thought about it, the more annoyed she became. So she worriedly asked, "Where is Taylor? Where is he now?"

Just as she spoke, Taylor passed by the palace door, catching the eye of Princess Catherine.

"Taylor!" she called out to the doorway.

Her son completely ignored her, and his figure quickly disappeared from her sight.

Catherine hurriedly chased after him, and Julie followed suit!

"Taylor!" Catherine was furious! She shouted at his departing figure, "Taylor! Stop right there!"

She finally got him to stop!

With a furrowed brow, Taylor halted and could hardly understand why his father was so angry.

He felt incredibly wronged!

Seeing her son stop, Catherine walked forward and stood in front of him, asking, "What’s the matter? Why is your father angry?"

"How should I know?" Taylor replied irritably, feeling very frustrated himself.

At this point, Julie’s phone beeped; she took it out and saw a sentence message sent to her—

[The King forbids Prince Taylor from setting foot in the palace again]

Julie stared at the words, finally realizing the severity of the situation, and handed the phone screen to the Princess.

When Catherine saw the message, she was utterly shocked!

Was the King really that angry?

"Taylor!" She pushed away the phone and shouted at her son again, grabbing his arm, "Come here!"

She directly dragged her son back into the palace!

"Princess..." Julie expressed concern, quickly catching up, "Talk things out calmly!"

"Tell me, what exactly did you do?!" Catherine interrogated, unable to comprehend and furious beyond belief!

"Why would you act like this? Why provoke your father so much? Don’t you know you’re supposed to compete for the throne? Do you even care about Louis? If you anger your father, do you think the throne will fall to you? You ungrateful son!"

After being wronged by his father, now facing his mother’s interrogation, Taylor was even more confused.

"How would I know?" Taylor replied in frustration, "I did nothing! I just fell in love with studying! I’m improving myself, why are you still not satisfied?"

"Are you really just studying?! Didn’t do anything else?" His mother didn’t believe him.

"What did I do? I’ve only been studying! So many eyes are watching me! If you don’t believe me, ask the servants!"

Seeing her son’s emotional, disgruntled expression, Catherine chose to believe him, after all, she knows her son well.

But if that’s indeed the case... why do things seem so dire?

"Father doesn’t allow me near Jocelyn, I don’t know why!" Taylor blurted out angrily, tossing his backpack onto the table, "I wish I knew why!"

"..." Catherine was stunned, unable to respond.

Suddenly, a bold thought flashed through Julie’s mind, and the idea itself surprised even her!

"Fine, I’ll go ask why now!" With that, Catherine stepped out!

"Princess!" Julie quickly reacted, rushing forward to stop her, "I have something to discuss with you!"

Catherine stopped and turned towards her; Julie’s eyes held countless unspoken words, seemingly important.
