"I first talked to him about the basic structure of a company. Of course, I used Peace Company as an example to explain to him," Charles Seymour began to speak.
Julian Campbell struggled to recall and just threw him a bunch of materials, letting him read for himself, is this explaining?
Did he and his uncle have a different understanding of the word "explain"?
"Then I took him for a tour around the company, introducing the main responsibilities of the departments," said Charles Seymour, "I had those department managers explain to him carefully, taking him through each one."
Julian Campbell turned green when he heard Charles Seymour mention this.
Yeah, that’s how it was, just walked around, and then there was a quiz afterwards.
He couldn’t remember!
The key thing was, back then when he didn’t say it all, the expression on his uncle’s face...he really didn’t want to remember.
"Today was just doing some light things like this," Charles Seymour concluded.
Light?
Where was it light?
Julian Campbell wanted to flip the table!
"That’s good then," Sophie Wilson said with a smile, "Julian is just starting, don’t make it too hard, or he might be scared off."
"Hmm, not too hard," Charles Seymour nodded.
Julian Campbell: "..."
Uncle, look into my eyes, and say it again, is it hard or not!
Clearly, Julian Campbell’s resentment couldn’t be conveyed to Charles Seymour’s eyes, because Charles simply wasn’t looking at him at all.
Sophie is here, why would he look at Julian?
"Julian, make sure to learn well from your uncle, he’s not usually a patient guy, but with you, it’ll definitely be different, since we’re all family," Sophie Wilson said happily, giving Charles Seymour a light slap.
Charles Seymour nodded.
Julian Campbell: "..."
"Alright, you guys carry on, I won’t keep you," Sophie Wilson said with a cheerful laugh, "I’ll go make you some cookies for a snack."
Sophie Wilson left, and the study fell into a strange silence.
Julian Campbell awkwardly turned his head and asked Charles Seymour, "Uncle, touch your heart, does your conscience really not hurt?"
Charles Seymour looked at Julian Campbell and asked in confusion, "I’m not the unlucky one, why should I feel hurt?"
Julian Campbell: "..."
Could his uncle be any more shameless?
Downstairs, Sophie Wilson was happily baking cookies, while upstairs, Julian Campbell was left speechless and blushing from Charles Seymour’s questions. Whatever he had somewhat remembered was all scared away at the sight of Charles’s furrowed brows.
Julian Campbell opened his mouth but in the end could only squeeze out a difficult sentence: "I can’t remember."
Charles Seymour asked, "Don’t you have to memorize scripts on set?"
Julian Campbell was exasperated: "Memorizing a script takes a long time, you can’t remember this much in just one day!"
"In less than a day, who can remember this much?" Julian Campbell wanted to bang his head against the wall.
Charles Seymour’s brows furrowed deeper, he seemed unable to understand why Julian Campbell was so frustrated.
Just then, the door made a noise, and Sophie Wilson came in carrying a tray: "Come, come, take a break, have some snacks and drinks. Don’t just keep studying. Balance work and rest!"
Sophie Wilson put down the tray, handed a small plate to Julian Campbell so he wouldn’t feel embarrassed to eat.
"Sophie, take a look at this," Charles Seymour handed what he was holding to her.
Sophie Wilson took it with a puzzled glance and asked, "What’s this about?"
"Can you remember it?" Charles Seymour asked.
"Why memorize this?" Sophie Wilson was even more puzzled.
