Tie Dan muttered to himself,
"Yeah? Not willing to talk, huh? Everyone saw it, he’s the one refusing to communicate with me. Nothing I can do. Right now you’re piloting the ship so I can’t touch you, I’ll just have to wait till we’re back on Earth to eat you."
The trainee hurriedly said,
"I am Hou Gu, taken in by the Divine Sect since childhood, joined the Protective Army, and because of my outstanding grades, was sent to the legion for further training. I’m here to learn advanced Otherworld mecha operation and Titan Maintenance Magic, so I can help my Divine Sect build a Cosmic Team in the future. Greetings, boss."
Tie Dan was curious,
"So you’ve met the God Sect Leader then? What’s his cultivation nowadays?"
The trainee was speechless,
"How would I be able to tell? My Blood God’s Son totals only a thousand. The Sect Hierarch must have, like, at least ten billion, right."
Tie Dan frowned,
"Ten billion? Converted to Divine Soul that’s at least ten trillion, isn’t it? Does Taiji Heaven really have that many people letting him refine them?"
Jizhou cut in,
"Unknown cosmic organism approaching ahead! Dangerous wild animal! Seventh Level! Seventh Level!"
Oh, so that Sea Queen thing has shown up.
So Tie Dan used Flying God Out of the Body, left Yazi in the ship, and directly grabbed the thousand Blood God’s Son he’d just looted off the ship, crushed them in one go, wrapped them around himself, straight up Blood Shadow Transformation, threw on a Red Robe,
"I’m going to have some fun with the Saturn Alliance. Keep an eye on my flesh body. If you can get it safely back to Earth and deliver it to your Sect Hierarch, that’ll count as a huge cultivation merit for you."
The trainee: ??
"Wait, what? Are you sick in the head!? Why are you dressing up like me!! Hey! Hey!!!"
Anyway, Tie Dan already had Taihao Spider Silk linking his Primordial Spirit and Dao Body together, so no matter how far they got separated he could follow the silk back. He stepped straight into the Void, pulled off a practiced Blood Shadow Divine Movement, and flew directly toward the wild monsters blocking Jizhou’s course ahead.
"I am Hou Gu. Are you perhaps the Cangming Sea Queen under the Seven Venerables, Ten Elders, Forty-Two Emperors of the Saturn Alliance?"
"Roooar——!!!!"
Apparently not. Tie Dan imitated the trainee’s Primordial Spirit Wave just now and sent a transmission over, and the other side answered by blasting out a Plasma sphere.
What it fired was a kind of Plasma Projectile, a Plasma energy ball with a launch speed of roughly one-tenth light speed.
With the speed of Blood Shadow Divine Movement, darting left and right like a ghost and lightning, he could easily dodge their bombardment. But the Titan didn’t have that kind of mobility, especially still in its acceleration phase, speed not yet up, basically a sitting duck. It got hit directly by the first shot! The blast slammed into the space turtle sprawled on Jizhou’s hull!
The space turtle: "Ow!"
Yeah, looked pretty painful—its shell got blasted into a state of landslides and cracked rocks, the carapace scorched black.
But it didn’t have to endure for long. In just the time for three shots, the shell hadn’t even been blown through yet, and Tie Dan had already used Blood Shadow Divine Movement; his Primordial Spirit flew up close, and he saw that what was soaring in the Void was a gigantic space manta ray.
This was probably an Otherworld monster evolved from a Devil Fish, a colossal beast with a wingspan over a hundred zhang, even bigger than a Cruiser. Strange rippling magnetic fields emanated from all over its body; it looked like it cruised near Fixed Stars or in high-energy nebula zones, using the broad, sail-like dorsal fin on its back to collect solar wind and Plasma wind, riding them into a layer of electromagnetic surf around itself, forming rippling waves of energy.
Right now this manta ray was surfing in on a magnetic thunderstorm, blocking Jizhou’s path head-on, spiraling as it advanced. It was like leaping through midair from the sea, its rotational swimming posture constantly rising; under the acceleration of the solar-wind magnetic storm, its spin and swimming speed kept climbing. As if breaching the surface, it suddenly burst out of that electromagnetic surf, threw in a pretty aerial flip, and gulped down a huge mass of magnetic energy.
Then in the instant of descent, it suddenly opened its giant mouth—"Whuaa——!"—and using a kind of biological magnetic-lens principle, compressed a high-density, self-stabilizing Plasma mass, then used a magnetic-pressure gradient to accelerate and eject this spherical Mark Plasma like an electromagnetic cannon shell!
So you just saw that thunderstorm projectile come roaring in at near light speed, slamming home with a boom! It blasted the space turtle into howling misery; the turtle’s... capital city shrank back into its shell...
