Third Person’s POVShe paused briefly before continuing.
"And the fact that only beings below the Sky Realm are capable of entering that realm is equally true."
As she finished speaking, the expression upon her beautiful face gradually became solemn.
"However, what Dominic didn’t reveal was that the information he announced earlier merely scratches the surface of what the major powers of the Northern Glacial Region know regarding this mysterious realm."
A faint smile appeared on her lips before she shook her head lightly.
"Though by knowing, I mean they know very little.
Even after countless generations of exploration, the Glaciem Ice Abyss remains one of the greatest mysteries of the Northern Glacial Region."
She slightly narrowed her pale-blue eyes before continuing,
"There is another mistake in what most people believe regarding this realm.
The overwhelming majority of commoners believe that it opens once every five hundred years, but that isn’t true.
The actual interval between its openings is merely three hundred years."
Hearing the true duration, Ethan’s eyes widened slightly in surprise.
Three hundred years.
That number alone was enough to make one understand just how mysterious and precious this ancient realm truly was.
The overwhelming majority of mages below the Sky Realm could live for only about four to five hundred years at most.
In other words, unless they were extraordinarily fortunate, most people would witness the opening of the Glaciem Ice Abyss only once throughout their entire lives.
Even witnessing it twice was something that required both luck and sufficient lifespan.
Naturally, this also meant that information regarding the realm was unimaginably scarce.
Only ancient organizations and powerful noble families whose histories stretched back hundreds or even thousands of years could hope to preserve fragments of information gathered across multiple generations.
Even then, much of that knowledge remained incomplete and speculative.
"According to the surface-level knowledge possessed by even the Five Marquis Families and the powers beneath them, there are two major treasures found within the Glaciem Ice Abyss, alongside countless lesser opportunities and minor discoveries."
Shixea raised two elegant fingers as she continued her explanation.
"The first is known as the Ice Soul Water.
It is an extraordinarily mysterious magical water found only within the Glaciem Ice Abyss.
Its most famous ability is increasing a mage’s lifespan by several years, while it has several minor uses in potion making and artifact refining, though that is too extravagant for the majority of the mages."
"Although its effects diminish greatly after the first usage and successive consumption grants only infinitesimally small increases in lifespan, it remains one of the most coveted treasures of the entire Northern Glacial Region."
Her voice became slightly more serious.
"You must understand that lifespan itself is one of the greatest treasures for any mage.
For example, an ordinary Crystal Formation Realm mage possesses a natural lifespan somewhere between four hundred and five hundred years.
The exact number largely depends upon the purity of their mana, the strength of their Mana Crystal, and the quality of their magical foundation."
"Now imagine a Crystal Formation mage standing at the very end of that lifespan, someone who requires only a few more decades to reach the Sky Realm."
"If such a person were suddenly gifted another fifty years of life, then what was once despair immediately becomes hope."
"For many powerful families and ancient organizations, fifty years isn’t merely fifty years."
"It is the difference between producing a Sky Realm expert and watching one of their greatest talents die before fulfilling their potential."
Hearing her explanation, Ethan’s expression remained largely unchanged, as to him, such a treasure possessed little attraction.
His magical path was fundamentally different from ordinary mages, and lifespan had never been something he was particularly worried about.
However, a sudden thought quietly surfaced within his mind, and he immediately thought of his grandparents.
Although he had never learned their exact ages, remembering their appearances and the subtle signs of old age hidden beneath their youthful countenances, Ethan could roughly guess that they had already entered the twilight years of their lives.
After all, greater lifespans also came with the luxury of slower ageing.
There was a reason why men and women who had already lived for forty or fifty years could still appear as though they were merely in their twenties within this magical world.
His grandparents, however, had long since passed that stage.
The next person Ethan thought about was Aurelia’s grandfather.
Almost immediately, he silently made a decision within his heart that, if possible, he would procure sufficient Ice Soul Water for all of them.
Seeing Ethan remain perfectly calm after hearing about such a heaven-defying treasure, Shixea wasn’t particularly surprised.
By now, she had already begun understanding Ethan’s mysterious standards.
For someone capable of casually throwing the spine thorn of a mid-stage Sky Realm Bone Demon across a room merely to frighten an old artifact refiner, perhaps even a treasure capable of extending one’s lifespan by several decades wasn’t particularly shocking after all for him.
"Even though the demand for Ice Soul Water is very high, as many old scions and members of noble families, old potion masters, and artifact refiners desire it, it still can’t match the allure of the second treasure."
As she said this, even her pale-blue eyes flashed with a zealous light for an instant before she quickly hid it once more.
Naturally, Ethan noticed that fleeting change in her expression.
However, instead of becoming delighted at discovering one of her supposed weaknesses, he merely became even more vigilant.
Judging by everything he had learned about this woman thus far, Ethan was almost certain that Shixea had intentionally allowed that trace of desire to leak onto her face.
This scheming queen wasn’t someone foolish enough to accidentally reveal her greatest desires before others.
If anything, she was most likely attempting to make him subconsciously believe that he had successfully grasped one of her weaknesses.
And Ethan was never foolish enough to underestimate a woman capable of becoming the Second Queen of the mighty Ice Emperor.
"Because the second treasure is one of the rarest Life Attribute treasures found throughout the entire Northern Glacial Region."
