He had been the one to push for this operation. Before it started, he’d sworn to everyone that it would be a very profitable venture.
He never expected it to turn out like this.
He let out a long, heavy sigh. He was reluctant, but he had to face the facts:
[The battle went smoothly. We killed all the guards before they could even react.]
Hearing his words, the other four people in the chat room immediately relaxed.
Although Lei Hu had been adamant before the operation that this shelter was the private property of someone from the Steel Brotherhood, it was still the infamous Steel Brotherhood of the wasteland. No one dared to let their guard down.
Ye Yun:
[Lei Hu, what’s your status? Did you find the power armor?]
Ye Yun already knew this operation had a high probability of success, so he wasn’t too worried about that part.
His main concern now was whether they had found the power armor.
Lei Hu replied:
[Not yet. We’ve searched most of the warehouse but haven’t found any sign of it.]
[The crates are all full of white and green-tier parts and items, with a few blue-tier parts.]
Ye Yun: ????
’How is that possible???’
He had already assessed this operation before they set out.
A 50% probability of obtaining purple-tier items meant there had to be purple-tier loot in the warehouse.
’So why can’t Lei Hu and his team find it?’
If it were only Lei Hu’s squad on the operation, Ye Yun might have suspected they’d found it and were deliberately hiding the fact.
After all, they had a history of doing such things.
When Ye Yun had traded with Lei Hu for the robot wreckage, Lei Hu had intentionally concealed some specific details about the shelter from him.
Hearing there was no power armor in the warehouse, the other three couldn’t sit still any longer.
Seman:
[Brother Hu, are you kidding me?
[Didn’t you beat your chest and promise there’d definitely be power armor inside? And more than one set, at that?]
Adam also chimed in:
[Yeah, Brother Hu, you have to search carefully.]
[We paid a lot for this operation.]
[Just the fee to open the Teleportation Gate was 100 blue-tier parts, not to mention all the items and gear we bought specifically for this mission. That’s a huge amount of resources.]
[If we don’t find the power armor this time, we’re going to lose big.]
Sima Yue:
[Something as valuable as power armor... could it be hidden somewhere?]
Just as Sima Yue offered his suggestion, Bena, who had reached the center of the warehouse, frowned slightly.
He got down on the ground, lying flat.
A very familiar sensation washed over him.
He extended a finger and tapped lightly on the metal floor.
However, the expected echo never came.
The metal floor gave off a dull thud. Anyone else hearing that sound would have assumed the ground beneath was solid.
Bena, however, could clearly sense that there was definitely a space beneath the metal floor.
Bena immediately went to Lei Hu’s side.
"Lord Lei Hu, I found something strange in the center of the warehouse. I suspect the power armor might be hidden inside."
Hearing Bena’s words, Lei Hu’s spirits immediately lifted.
He immediately led a few team members to the center of the warehouse with Bena and asked, "Bena, what did you find?"
Bena pointed at the floor and explained, "There’s a space under the metal floor here. I’m positive it isn’t solid underneath."
Lei Hu squatted down and knocked on the floor. The sound that came back made him frown slightly.
"It sounds very dull. Doesn’t seem like there’s any space, does it?"
Of course, Bena couldn’t tell him it was because of his special ability. His eyes darted around as he quickly thought of an explanation.
Bena explained, "Lord Lei Hu, with the enhancement from my exoskeleton, I’m especially sensitive to these minute vibrations.
I’m sure of it. There’s definitely something fishy down there."
Upon hearing this, an idea sparked in Lei Hu’s mind.
He immediately remembered what Sima Yue had just said.
’If the valuable power armor isn’t out in the open, it must be hidden.’
He gently stomped on the metal plate, and now he was somewhat convinced.
"Find the switch to open it, now."
"If you can’t find it, just force it open."
Lei Hu gave the order, and his men immediately fanned out, searching the central area of the warehouse for any potential mechanisms or switches.
Half an hour later, they finally found a remote control in the hand of one of the so-called corpses.
After Lei Hu pressed the button on the remote, the floor, which had appeared to be seamlessly sealed, actually began to open slowly, revealing the entrance to a downward passage.
Everyone’s face lit up with joy. After working so hard for so long, they had finally found it.
"Good work, Bena!" Lei Hu clapped Bena on the shoulder and then headed down first.
The others followed close behind, descending the stairs into an even more concealed basement.
The lighting was dim, and the air was thick with the smell of machine oil and metal.
Their eyes quickly adjusted to the light, and then they were stunned by the sight before them.
In the basement, several complete sets of power armor stood silently on racks.
Under the dim lights, the power armor radiated a cold, metallic sheen. Their very presence filled the entire space with an aura of futuristic technology.
Lei Hu strode forward, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
He carefully inspected one set of power armor, and after confirming it was in perfect condition, he couldn’t help but exclaim, "This is what we were looking for! Incredible!"

Seeing the equipment stats displayed by the power armor, an excited expression appeared on Lei Hu’s face.
"Quick, let’s move all this power armor and these supplies upstairs. Time is wasting," Lei Hu ordered immediately.
At the same time, Lei Hu immediately reported the situation in the chat room:
"Everyone, we found it! There really is power armor in this warehouse, and there are six sets in total!"
"We hit the jackpot this time!"
The atmosphere in the chat room instantly ignited, with Ye Yun and the other alliance members sending excited replies.
Ye Yun: "Excellent, Lei Hu! You guys did a great job. This will be a huge boost to our strength."
Seman: "Unbelievable! Our investment finally paid off!"
Adam: "Haha, now we can really gear up! Power armor... I’m getting excited just thinking about it!"
Sima Yue: "Good work, Lei Hu. We’ll have to celebrate properly when we get back."
...
Under Lei Hu’s command, the team began to carefully transport the power armor to the surface.
Lei Hu had already arranged for someone to bring over the motorcycles that had been parked at a distance.
Originally, Lei Hu had planned to take the green-tier junk along with the blue-tier parts to help everyone recoup their losses.
But now that they had found the power armor, there was no need to carry the green equipment and parts.
