"Alright, that should do it. Time to head back to the academy!"
Andre wiped his hands, stepped outside the safe house, and unfurled his Multiple Wings of the Wind, flying toward the academy.
With his current power, flying back would only take a little over a day.
If he flew at full speed, he could probably make it back before nightfall tomorrow.
And that was without Andre even using his Level 1 Flying Witchcraft.
Had he used the Level 1 Witchcraft, he could have cut the travel time in half.
’I can use the time before the expedition starts to round out my collection of Level 1 Witchcraft. I’ve mastered a good number of them already, but they’re all for offense. I’m seriously lacking in support spells.’
Andre soared through the sky, heading steadily for the academy.
The following evening, Andre landed at the entrance of the Wizard Inheritance Hall.
Sensing an unfamiliar yet tyrannical aura at the entrance to the Wizard Inheritance Hall, Radak appeared in the doorway in a flash.
But when he got a clear look at the newcomer, Radak’s eyes flew wide in shock.
’Andre... Could he have actually succeeded on the path he chose for himself?’
’Otherwise, how could his aura be this powerful right after a breakthrough? It already rivals that of a Level 2 Wizard!’
"Teacher, I’m back."
Andre looked at Radak and nodded.
"You succeeded? Which path did you take?"
Radak, however, looked at Andre with suspicion. He found it hard to believe that Andre could have truly succeeded on the unique path he had carved out for himself.
He assumed that after being gone for a year, Andre had failed and resorted to his backup plan: walking the path of a Thunder Wizard, leveraging his Thunder Element Talent.
The path of the Thunder Wizard was considered one of the most powerful among all Wizards. They possessed immense Attack Power and incredible Speed; aside from a slow recovery rate, they had no other significant flaws.
In response to Radak’s skepticism, Andre extended his right hand. A faint, gray mist materialized at his fingertip.
The moment Radak saw the wisp of gray mist, he suddenly felt dizzy. He couldn’t believe Andre had actually succeeded!
He had Morning Star Great Wizards in his own family, and his own master had even created a personal world right before his eyes.
Therefore, Radak knew full well how incredibly difficult a power Chaos was to wield.
And now Andre, a young man barely in his twenties, had mastered this exceptionally potent power.
Andre’s future achievements would be beyond anything he could possibly imagine!
"Good! Good! Excellent!" As the initial shock subsided, Radak was overjoyed.
Having a student like Andre was an honor for him as a teacher.
If Andre’s path could be passed down, his own name—Radak’s—would be engraved on the great historical monuments of the Wizard World. For as long as Wizards existed, his name would live on.
"Teacher, how long has it been since I left the academy?"
A smile appeared on Andre’s face as Radak showered him with praise.
"One year and three months. Your breakthrough took an eternity—four times as long as anyone else’s!"
Radak looked at Andre and shook his head.
"It wasn’t too bad. I needed time to adapt to my new Power after the breakthrough."
Andre offered an excuse that wasn’t really an excuse.
Radak didn’t press the issue, simply nodding at Andre.
"Now that you have succeeded on this path, I can officially entrust the Wizard Inheritance Hall to you in the future!"
Radak turned and walked into the Wizard Inheritance Hall.
Andre followed him inside, and together they entered a section reserved for Official Wizards—an area Andre had rarely set foot in before.
Given his status, none of these places were off-limits to him; he was free to come and go.
But since he hadn’t yet become an Official Wizard, staying too long in this area would have been dangerous. The Spiritual Fluctuations from the tomes left by Official Wizards could have eroded his body and Soul, leading him down a corrupted path.
That was why he had always made his previous visits brief.
But now, things were different. He was an Official Wizard, and a dual practitioner of both the Energy School and the path of a Body Refining Wizard at that.
The spiritual pollution that could have once harmed his body and Soul now felt as harmless as a gentle breeze upon his face.
"These books are the ones you’ll need in the Otherworld."
Radak walked ahead, occasionally pulling heavy tomes from the shelves and handing them to Andre.
Andre cradled the growing stack of books, his eyes scanning their titles.
Some of them he had seen before, while others were entirely new to him.
As they walked and stopped, Andre’s arms were soon laden with no fewer than ten books, weighing a total of 150 kilograms.
And these were all just single volumes from much larger series.
If he were to gather all the complete series, the total number of books would be in the hundreds.
"Take these books back and read them for now. You also need to practice some Level 1 Witchcraft. You don’t want to be discovered the moment you enter the Otherworld."
Radak instructed Andre after handing him the last book.
Andre nodded with effort. Radak then shook his Magic Staff, and a Light Ball descended from above.
Radak placed the Light Ball on the very top of the stack of books.
"Sealed inside this Light Ball are the King of the Stone People and the Stone Giant Tribe you discovered previously."
"Now that you’re an Official Wizard, you can develop them into the more advanced Black Iron People."
Radak said, watching Andre. Andre nodded, then carried the books and the Light Ball back to the room he hadn’t returned to in over a year, setting the heavy pile on his desk.
He then took out his Servant Bag and released Potato. After that, he went outside and let out Seven Rings.
At this point, after four years of nurturing, Seven Rings had evolved from an impure Mixed-blood Dragon Beast into a true Mixed-blood Dragon Beast, possessing the Bloodlines of several Giant Dragons.
With a little more time, he could help Seven Rings become a Pure-blooded Dragon Beast.
That would be the moment to finalize their Master-Servant Contract.
Andre went back into his room, took out the Master-Servant Contract Radak had given him, and opened it before looking at Potato.
Potato walked over and, without any need for inducement, signed the Master-Servant Contract with Andre, formally acknowledging him as its master.
Once the Master-Servant Contract was signed, Andre could clearly feel a current of the Earth Element flow from Potato’s body into his own, following the bond of the contract.
At the same time, a portion of his own Chaos Magic Power flowed into Potato.
"Here you go." Andre took out a piece of Honeycomb and gave it to Potato. Potato took it, plopped down beside Andre, and leaned against him, contentedly munching on the treat.
From that moment on, Andre could clearly sense Potato’s deep feeling of reliance on him.
’I wonder if it’s because of the Earth Elemental Bear heart I fused with that Potato trusts me so much.’
Watching Potato, Andre took out a piece of Honeycomb for himself and started eating as well.
