’After the breakthrough, the Truth didn’t get completely burned up. To think there’s still so much left... this is a pleasant surprise!’
Andre looked at the 400% Truth remaining in the System and nodded in satisfaction. But then, his eyes were drawn to a crucial detail.
’Its disappearance must mean my Personality is now complete. Even though it’s still a single-digit percentage, the missing part has been restored. It should be easier to level it up from now on.’
Andre continued to examine his stats, but the numbers, all in the hundreds, felt awkward to him.
His stats were already this high, and he had only just become a Level 1 Wizard.
’By the time I become a Level 2 Wizard, Level 3 Wizard, or even a Morning Star Great Wizard or Moonlight Great Mage, these numbers will be in the millions.’
’At that point, just glancing at the numbers on the System will make my head spin.’
’What should I do?’ Andre wondered.
For now, however, the System’s usefulness was limited. Aside from recording his stats and accumulating Truth, it offered very little help.
And just as this thought occurred to him, a stream of information flowed from the System into his mind!
’The System is upgrading.’
Andre hadn’t expected the System to upgrade right after he became a Level 1 Wizard.
He looked at the very bottom of the System interface, where a confirmation button for the upgrade had appeared.
Andre stared at the button, took two deep breaths, then raised his hand and pressed it.
The instant he pressed it, he felt his Chaos Magic Power being frantically drained by the System at an incredible speed.
The speed of the drain startled Andre.
He quickly took out the Earth Element Stones he hadn’t used in the Secret Realm. Gripping them in his palm, he began to rapidly absorb the Earth Element within, converting it into his own Magic Power.
At the same time, he sent out his Spiritual Power, following the flow of his magic, to get a look at the System’s inner workings.
He did this because the System was the only thing in his possession that was completely beyond his control.
He would have been better off not looking. That single glance nearly caused his brain to explode.
An infinite torrent of information flooded into his mind through his Spiritual Power, forcing him to stop his prying before he could even see what the System’s interior looked like.
’What on earth is the System made of? How can it store so much information?’
Andre clutched his head and collapsed onto the bed, trying to ease the pain from that single glance. The sheer volume of information had nearly overwhelmed him to the point of bursting.
"HSSS!" Andre sucked in a sharp breath, rubbing his temples.
’It seems my current power is still insufficient. I’m not strong enough to probe the System’s origins.’
After resting for a moment, Andre, still lying on the bed, pulled two Spirit Potions from his Storage Ring and downed them, hoping to alleviate the headache from the spiritual backlash.
’I guess you could call this an advance taste of the pain one suffers when attacked with Soul-based magic.’
’When I face a real Soul Witchcraft attack, the pain should be much more bearable.’
Andre was just trying to make the best of a bad situation. Once the pain gradually subsided, he downed several more Potions until he was full, then fell into a deep sleep under their effects.
He didn’t know how long he’d slept before he finally opened his eyes.
The System upgrade was complete.
Andre summoned the new System interface and nodded in satisfaction.

The new System’s layout was much cleaner than before, and it had also updated to reflect all the abilities he now possessed.
However, the sheer size of the numbers representing his stats still made him feel weary just looking at them.
’My Spiritual Power is already over 700. At this rate, won’t it break a thousand soon?’
’I need to find a way to redefine these stats.’
Andre frowned, wondering what kind of creature he could use as a baseline to redefine the System’s stats.
Right after he had woken up, the System had sent him a message informing him that he could now change the template for his stats.
The current stats he saw were based on information derived from his own mind when the System first activated.
They were completely incompatible with the standards of this world, especially now that he was an Official Wizard.
’The average Spiritual Power for a Level 1 Wizard is around 300 points. That’s their baseline, without any amplification from Witchcraft Tools or a Magic Staff.’
’With the boost from Witchcraft Tools and a Magic Staff, their Spiritual Power would probably reach about 500 points.’
’But that brings up another problem: physical strength. It’s common knowledge that there’s a huge disparity between a Wizard’s physical power and their spiritual power.’
’That makes it difficult to use a Wizard as the new standard.’
Andre had instinctively wanted to use the Wizard standard to redefine his System’s stats.
But after a moment’s thought, he abandoned the idea.
’Looks like this is something I’ll have to deal with after I get back to the academy.’
Andre shook his head, pulled a large amount of food from his Storage Ring, and began stuffing it into his mouth, using a Potion to help get it all down.
His Bloodline had forced him to become a Body Refining Wizard, and he now had all the problems that came with it.
The biggest issue was his food consumption. He used to be able to substitute food with Potions.
But now, the number of Potions required to replace food would be astronomical.
Moreover, his Bloodline was constantly pushing his body to evolve to a higher level. Using Potions at this time would only increase the already massive consumption.
Eating real food, on the other hand, gave him more time to master his newly transformed body.
’I clearly looted everything from the Secret Realm, so why do I still feel so poor?’
Andre let out a long sigh and continued to eat. In a short time, he had devoured an entire cow.
