Tyler held the ancient sword in his hand and carefully examined it from top to bottom. After being cleansed of the countless impurities accumulated over one hundred thousand years, the weapon looked completely different. The once-rusted blade now possessed a brilliant silver gleam, and whenever the spiritual light in the room passed over it, a faint radiance rippled across its surface. Its handle was made from a strange gray stone that seemed to have been naturally carved into the shape of a sword hilt. There were no unnecessary decorations, yet it possessed an ancient and profound feeling that ordinary weapons could never imitate.
"Your appearance really changed," Tyler muttered.
The ancient sword gave a faint buzz and floated.
"Of course. I was originally a peerless weapon. What you saw before was merely the result of being buried underground for a hundred thousand years."
Tyler did not bother arguing with it. Instead, he picked up a vial containing some of the strange sand he had collected earlier.
The moment the sword came close to the vial, something unexpected happened.
The grains of sand inside began to tremble.
Then, one by one, they slowly floated upward.
The vial itself also began to rise from the table.
Tyler’s eyes lit up.
"Oh?"
The ancient sword immediately buzzed.
"Ah... let me control that."
The vial slowly descended and returned to the table.
"I don’t know why this happens whenever I get close to certain things. It seems to be related to my abilities, but after losing most of my power, I can no longer control it properly. I think I can control now."
Tyler stared at the vial for a moment before a thoughtful expression appeared on his face.
"It’s probably because of your material."
"My material?"
"Sky Rock."
Tyler tapped the sword lightly with one finger.
"Your master called it Sky Rock because he couldn’t determine its actual origin. However, I have encountered information about similar materials before."
The ancient sword immediately became interested.
"You have?"
Tyler nodded. But didn’t explain. Sky Rock is extremely rare in the Boundless World, but it isn’t completely unknown. The strange floating islands scattered throughout the world are often related to materials with similar properties.
He thought for a moment and said,
"If you had enough Sky Rock—perhaps a piece roughly one-fourth the size of an ordinary city—you could probably create a gigantic Flying City. With enough formations and spiritual energy, the entire city could remain suspended in the sky."
The ancient sword buzzed several times.
"A Flying City?"
"Something like that."
Tyler recalled the countless Flying Islands that existed throughout the Boundless World. Even he owned Several of them. Although they are rare in that world, still there were still thousands upon thousands of them scattered across that vast world.
"Your Sky Rock is probably a purer and more ancient variant."
Tyler’s eyes became increasingly interested.
"If I can figure out its properties, I might be able to create something interesting with it."
The ancient sword remained silent.
For some reason, it suddenly felt that being studied by Tyler was not necessarily a good thing.
Tyler, however, had already moved on to another question.
"You said you have an inner space?"
The ancient sword tilted slightly.
"Yes."
"Can I enter?"
"You can, but don’t resist."
The moment the sword finished speaking, a strange spatial fluctuation spread from its body. Before Tyler could react, his vision blurred.
When his feet touched solid ground again, Tyler found himself standing at the edge of an enormous platform.
He stared ahead.
For several breaths, he did not speak.
A vast sea of clouds stretched endlessly beneath him, rolling like an ocean of white waves. The clouds were so thick that they seemed capable of supporting mountains. At the edge of the enormous platform, countless waterfalls poured down from the heavens themselves, cascading into the endless sea of clouds before disappearing into the mist below.
Towering pillars stood along the grand walkway.
Every pillar appeared to have been carved from flawless white jade. Dragons, phoenixes, clouds, qilins, and other mythical creatures were carved into their surfaces. The craftsmanship was so exquisite that Tyler almost felt as though the creatures would come alive if he stared at them for too long.
Beyond the pillars stood an enormous palace complex.
Layer upon layer of magnificent halls rose into the sky, connected by countless corridors and bridges. Their sweeping roofs were decorated with golden ornaments, while vermilion pillars supported the vast structures. Ancient carvings covered the walls, and countless balconies overlooked the sea of clouds below.
The entire palace seemed to float above the heavens.
Tyler’s expression gradually became serious.
"This isn’t merely an inner space."
He looked around in astonishment.
"This is a Mini Grotto Heaven."
The ancient sword’s voice came from somewhere beside him.
"See? My inside is quite impressive, right?"
Tyler’s mouth twitched.
"Mind your phrasing."
"Haha..."
The ancient sword buzzed proudly.
Tyler looked at the magnificent palace again before his expression became thoughtful.
"Do you know how valuable this place is?"
"Of course."
"Then you absolutely cannot let anyone know about it."
The ancient sword’s buzzing stopped.
Tyler continued calmly, "Also tell Chu Yang to keep it secret. As far as everyone is concerned, you are merely an ancient sword with some mysterious abilities."
The sword remained silent for several moments before speaking.
Tyler shook his head.
"And don’t tell anyone about what happened here. Especially don’t tell anyone or else Chu Yang might drop dead."
The ancient sword tilted slightly.
"I thought you might become greedy after seeing this place."
Tyler laughed.
"I’m not going to pretend I’m some saint. Of course I’d love to buy you."
The sword immediately became wary.
"But?"
"But I think it’s better for you to stay with your new master."
The ancient sword floated gently.
"You don’t want me?"
"That’s not what I said."
Tyler smiled.
"You’re an ancient weapon with a history of one hundred thousand years. Chu Yang has a connection with you, and you’re already accustomed to him. Taking you away from him would only create unnecessary trouble. But also many opportunities to rise."
The sword remained silent for a moment before giving a soft buzz.
"Perhaps you’re right."
Tyler nodded and returned to the outside world.
The moment he appeared in the laboratory, he immediately remembered something else.
"You said you can change your size, right?"
The ancient sword buzzed.
"Yes."
Its body suddenly shrank.
In the blink of an eye, the enormous ancient sword became a small sword barely large enough to fit into Tyler’s palm.
It dropped gently into his hand.
Tyler’s eyes immediately lit up.
"Interesting."
He examined the miniature sword from every angle.
Then he walked toward a cauldron filled with the black concoction he had prepared earlier.
The ancient sword seemed to realize what Tyler was thinking.
"Are you planning to continue that experiment?"
"Exactly."
Tyler held up the small sword.
"I want to see whether this amount of concoction is enough when your body is reduced in size. If the effect remains the same, we can greatly reduce the amount of rare materials required to restore you."
The ancient sword immediately became excited.
"That’s a good idea!"
Without waiting for Tyler to say anything else, the small sword flew directly into the cauldron.
Splash!
The black concoction swallowed it.
"This feels wonderful..."
Its voice gradually became weaker.
Within several minutes, the ancient sword had completely fallen asleep.
Tyler stared at the cauldron.
A strange smile slowly appeared on his face.
He waited.
"Zzz..."
Tyler’s eyes narrowed.
He quietly walked over and reached into the cauldron.
"You there?"
"Zzz..."
"The sword is sleeping."
Tyler’s smile became even wider.
He slowly took out the Copper Pot.
With a thought, the Copper Pot expanded in size. Tyler carefully placed the sleeping ancient sword inside.
A moment later, he picked up another sword, It was exactly the same as the original.
Tyler looked at the sword and Then he looked toward the sleeping original.
"I am not being greedy."
He nodded seriously.
"After all, I already know I can simply copy you."
The ancient sword remained completely unaware of what was happening.
Tyler picked up the newly created sword.
The moment his fingers touched it, he felt the familiar spatial fluctuation.
With a thought, He disappeared.
When Tyler opened his eyes again, he found himself standing inside another magnificent Mini Grotto Heaven.
The surroundings were almost identical to the original.
The same sea of clouds. The same enormous palace. The same jade pillars. The same waterfalls cascading through the heavens.
Tyler stood there for several breaths.
Then a smile slowly appeared on his face.
"So it really worked."
He had not merely copied the body of the ancient sword. He had copied its entire internal space as well. And this was truly a Mini Grotto Heaven...
Then Tyler had just obtained something far more valuable than an ordinary ancient sword.
He closed his eyes and concentrated.
With merely a thought, space around him distorted.
The next instant, Tyler appeared outside the copied sword.
He looked at the small sword in his hand and smiled.
"Time to shake up the cultivation world again."
