The restaurant had yet to recover from the earlier commotion. Broken table lay scattered across the floor, while the burly cultivator groaned in pain beneath a pile of shattered chairs. The surrounding diners wisely lowered their heads, pretending they had seen nothing.
The young man carrying the golden fan leisurely walked over.
Several beautiful women followed closely behind him, though none dared utter a word.
Reaching Tyler’s table, Yun Feng casually pulled out a chair and sat down as though he owned the restaurant.
He looked at the unconscious cultivator on the floor before turning towards Tyler.
"Sorry. My servant was short-tempered."
His voice was calm and indifferent.
There wasn’t the slightest trace of apology on his face. It sounded less like an apology and more like a routine greeting.
Tyler glanced at the unconscious man before smiling, "He certainly has quite the temper."
Yun Feng ignored the sarcasm and flicked open his golden fan. "My name is Yun Feng."
"Our Yun Family oversees Heaven Mist Pavilion’s affairs in Moon Hawk City. Not the Heaven Mist Sect itself, merely this branch of the Pavilion." Yun Feng explained.
"I see." Tyler nodded. "No wonder everyone seems to know you. You can just call me Tyler."
Only then did Ali step forward with a smile, "Brother Yun, it’s been quite some time—"
Yun Feng didn’t even look at him, "Did I ask you to speak?"
Ali’s smile stiffened, "I merely wished to greet Brother Yun."
"You’ve greeted me." Yun Feng slowly took a sip of tea. "You may stop now."
The smile on Ali’s face completely froze.
Several diners secretly lowered their heads, afraid of laughing out loud.
Ali clenched his fists beneath the table, but he forced himself to endure it.
Compared to the Ister Family, the Yun Family held far greater influence within Heaven Mist Pavilion. Although both were respectable families in Moon Hawk City, the Yun Family was responsible for managing the Pavilion’s business throughout the region. Offending Yun Feng over a few words simply wasn’t worth it.
Yun Feng finally turned back towards Tyler.
"I didn’t come here because of today’s incident."
"Oh?"
"I came looking for you." Yun Feng smiled.
Tyler raised an eyebrow.
"For me?"
"Yesterday, I heard someone bought the strange statue from that Antique shop." Yun Feng nodded.
Tyler immediately understood.
"So that’s why."
"I had intended to purchase it myself," Yun Feng continued. "Unfortunately, I arrived a step too late."
Ali, who had remained silent until now, suddenly looked towards Tyler.
"You... bought that shop?"
Tyler nodded.
"Yes."
Ali stared blankly.
"The entire shop?"
"Yes."
His expression gradually became strange.
Only now did he remember yesterday’s conversation.
The old shopkeeper hadn’t been joking.
Tyler had actually purchased an entire shop within Heaven Mist Pavilion.
Thinking back to how he had secretly instructed his servant to order the most expensive dishes in an attempt to embarrass Tyler over the bill, Ali felt his face burning.
Compared to the price of an entire shop...
That meal probably wasn’t even worth mentioning.
His servant quietly lowered his head, pretending not to know his Young Master.
Yun Feng noticed Ali’s awkward expression but paid it no mind.
"Where’s the statue now?"
Tyler scratched his cheek.
"About that..."
Yun Feng waited patiently.
"I accidentally broke it."
Yun Feng blinked.
"You... broke it?"
Tyler nodded honestly.
"I was trying to see if something is inside. Turns out the statue and the platform were connected."
Yun Feng’s expression finally changed. Though he already guessed what happened.
Tyler spread his hands helplessly, "The pillar array beneath the shop collapsed."
Silence fell over the restaurant.
Even the women standing behind Yun Feng looked at Tyler with widened eyes.
Ali swallowed hard, "The... shop? It collapsed and you did it because you were curious"
"Yeah... Slightly..." Tyler answered as though it were nothing worth mentioning.
For a long moment, nobody spoke.
Then Yun Feng suddenly burst into laughter.
"Hahaha!"
His laughter echoed throughout the restaurant.
"So that’s where yesterday’s commotion came from."
He looked at Tyler with newfound interest.
"I’ve heard countless rumors since this morning. Some claimed a Nascent Soul expert attacked Heaven Mist Pavilion. Others said an ancient beast escaped from beneath the city."
He shook his head, still smiling.
"Who would’ve thought... it was simply because someone curiousity demolished an entire shop?"
Tyler coughed awkwardly,."It really was an accident."
"I believe you." Yun Feng closed his fan. "After all, anyone capable of buying an entire shop wouldn’t need to destroy one on purpose."
His gaze rested on Tyler for a moment before asking the question that had truly brought him here.
"So... what was hidden inside the statue?" Yun Feng asked, his eyes fixed on Tyler.
Tyler smiled mysteriously.
"An onion."
Yun Feng blinked.
"...Eh?"
"Just like an onion," Tyler said with a shrug. "No matter how many layers you peel away, there’s nothing inside."
Yun Feng stared at him for a moment before letting out a chuckle.
"Interesting analogy."
He slowly stood up and glanced at the wreckage scattered throughout the restaurant. Broken tables, shattered chairs, and cracked porcelain littered the floor, all courtesy of his servant’s reckless attack.
"Since this was caused by my subordinate," Yun Feng said calmly, "the Yun Family will naturally compensate Heaven Mist Pavilion for every broken table and chair."
Suzuka snorted.
"That’s what you should do."
Yun Feng merely smiled, seemingly unaffected by her cold tone.
"As for Young Master Tyler..." His gaze shifted toward Tyler. "These attendants have accompanied me long enough. Until you leave Moon Hawk City, they shall serve as your guides. Whether you wish to tour Heaven Mist Pavilion, visit places of interest, or simply require assistance, they’ll follow your arrangements."
He paused before revealing a playful smile.
"Of course, if Young Master Tyler wishes to tour their body, they won’t refuse either."
The three veiled women giggled softly, as though they had long grown accustomed to such jokes. They gracefully stepped forward and bowed toward Tyler.
Suzuka’s brows immediately knitted together.
"Hmph. Our Young Master doesn’t nee—"
Before she could finish, she saw Tyler laughing as he casually greeted the three women, even patting one of them lightly on the shoulder as though meeting old friends.
"Then I’ll have to trouble the three ladies."
"It is our honor, Young Master Tyler," they replied together.
Suzuka clicked her tongue in annoyance.
"Tsk... Men."
Sitting nearby, Ali Ister watched everything unfold with undisguised envy.
Everyone in Moon Hawk City knew that Yun Feng cultivated a rather peculiar cultivation art. Until he reached the next major realm, he was forbidden from indulging in worldly pleasures. The beautiful women around him were carefully selected maidens, more akin to decorations that showcased the Yun Family’s prestige than actual companions. Countless young masters envied him, yet none dared covet those women because they all belonged to Yun Feng’s entourage.
And now...
He had casually handed them over to Tyler as temporary attendants.
Ali couldn’t help feeling another sting in his heart.
Tyler cupped his fists with a smile.
"Many thanks, Young Master Yun. I’m sure we’ll meet again."
Yun Feng returned the gesture.
"I look forward to it."
Without another word, he turned and left the restaurant. His injured servant hurriedly crawled to his feet before limping after him, his earlier arrogance nowhere to be seen.
Only after Yun Feng’s group disappeared did Suzuka finally speak.
"Young Master, I don’t intend to interfere with your private life..." She glanced cautiously at the three veiled women standing nearby. "But are you sure it’s alright to let them follow us?"
Tyler’s smile gradually faded.
"Young Master Yun Feng didn’t come here just because of the statue."
Suzuka tilted her head.
"Then... he had another objective?"
Tyler leaned back in his chair and tapped the table thoughtfully.
"Mm. He was probing me... Not just him, either."
His eyes narrowed slightly.
"That beggar we met earlier... Yun Feng... Even the people hidden around Heaven Mist Pavilion." He paused before continuing, "They’re all searching for someone."
As soon as those words left his mouth, the three veiled women behind him visibly stiffened.
Though their faces remained hidden beneath their veils, tiny beads of sweat quietly formed on their foreheads. None of them had expected this seemingly carefree foreign youth to perceive far more than he had let on.
