"An interesting outsider. It’s a shame my hands are tied; otherwise, killing you would be an excellent choice." The Six Celestial Ancient Qi - Master of Ghosts had noticed Qi Suian’s deliberate attempt to lure the Holy Mother to him.
Therefore, he had no intention of playing Qi Suian’s game and had no plans to deal with the Holy Mother.
The Holy Mother, meanwhile, was relentless. Without even glancing at the Master of Ghosts, she kept her target locked firmly on Qi Suian.
Qi Suian didn’t curse him out. He had planned to use someone else to do his dirty work, after all. What was there to complain about if they refused to play along?
It simply meant his scheme had failed, and that was a common enough occurrence.
He couldn’t force them, after all.
Since the Master of Ghosts wasn’t stopping the Holy Mother, Qi Suian seized the opportunity and made a run for it, fleeing far into the distance.
At least he had escaped the heart of the conflict.
The Six Celestial Ancient Qi - Master of Ghosts gazed into the distance, his expression filled with disdain. "Crude tricks. Unfit for the grand stage."
"The world is vast, but where can you possibly run?"
The entire planet was already sealed off. It was either Apocalypse’s territory or the territory of the Six Celestial Ancient Qi.
No matter where he fled, there would be no escaping death.
He would either be killed by the disasters of Apocalypse or fall into the Ghost Kingdom.
From the very beginning, Qi Suian had no intention of staying on this planet.
If he hadn’t been a step too slow, he’d have been long gone, roaming free in space.
’Where’s the opening my protagonist’s halo is supposed to give me...’ Qi Suian muttered, as the Tai Sui God’s flight speed increased even further.
The Holy Mother’s speed was also increasing. It seemed that after leaving the battlefield formed by Apocalypse and the Six Celestial Ancient Qi, she had once again unleashed her power.
’This speed isn’t right. It seems to be some kind of conceptual ability,’ Qi Suian thought, watching the Holy Mother begin to flicker on his reconnaissance network.
With every flicker, she drew a little closer to Qi Suian.
After ten flickers, taking less than a second in total, the Holy Mother appeared directly in front of Qi Suian.
At the Tai Sui God’s speed, there was no way to brake in time.
"Ram right through her! Don’t stop!" Qi Suian commanded in a cold voice.
If he braked now, the momentary pause would leave him wide open with no way to counterattack.
Better to be ruthless than to lose the initiative and get caught.
The AI, of course, obeyed Qi Suian’s command, ramming toward the Holy Mother without a shred of hesitation.
In an instant, the Holy Mother was smashed into a splatter of ruptured flesh and blood.
Qi Suian hadn’t actually expected this to happen. He had even imagined himself being melted by a sanguine glow.
The flesh and blood sprayed through the air, much of it splattering and adhering to the Tai Sui God’s hull.
It coated the Tai Sui God’s body in a layer of blood-red.
"Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom..."
The Holy Mother’s voice seeped into Qi Suian’s mind. She had let herself be shattered on purpose, just to infiltrate him.
If the trinity didn’t include the Holy Mother, then she would just devour Qi Suian and merge with the Holy Father as a single entity.
’Perfect chance! Straight up!’ A semi-illusory image of the Fei faintly appeared around Qi Suian’s body.
The Divine Will Fei was helping him resist the Holy Mother’s corruption.
The Tai Sui God immediately changed course, shooting straight up into the sky like a rocket.
This action naturally drew the attention of Apocalypse and the Six Celestial Ancient Qi.
Qi Suian was just a small bug who couldn’t affect the grand scheme of things. As long as they dealt with the Holy Son and the Holy Spirit, the dust would settle.
But now, Qi Suian was covered in the Holy Mother’s flesh.
That changed things. If any other variables were introduced, the original bipolar conflict would devolve into a three-way stalemate.
That was absolutely not an outcome Apocalypse or the Six Celestial Ancient Qi wanted to see.
They didn’t know if this was Qi Suian’s plan or the Holy Mother’s. They could live with the former, but they weren’t willing to bet against it being the latter.
Angels, sounding their trumpets, swarmed forward in a bizarre fashion, forming a barrier to prevent Qi Suian from breaking through.
Rows of ghost soldiers drew their longbows taut and simultaneously loosed a volley of arrows.
Block the exit, then encircle and destroy.
The coordination between Apocalypse and the Six Celestial Ancient Qi was masterful.
Clearly, after so many years of clashing and cooperating in their wars, the two had developed a deep, unspoken understanding.
They acted in concert even without exchanging a single word.
For Qi Suian, this wasn’t bad news—it was great news.
The fact that his enemies were trying to intercept him meant he was on the right track.
As for the Holy Mother’s remains on his ship, he could simply have the Tai Sui God use its transformation module to jettison all the contaminated sections.
As for the Angels’ defensive line and the ghosts’ arrow storm, Qi Suian simply ignored them.
He smashed a bloody path straight through the angelic line.
Large fragments of the Holy Mother splattered onto the Angels, contaminating them with her flesh.
The ghosts’ arrow storm was a step too slow, ultimately failing to catch him.
"AI, prepare the transformation module. Move all the Holy Mother’s flesh to the front. We’ll use her to clear a path."
Having broken through the line of Angels, Qi Suian saw a sealing barrier that looked like the gates of heaven itself.
He didn’t know what it was, but that didn’t matter. If he could break this barrier, he would reach outer space.
He had, in fact, considered another possibility: that there were great horrors in space, and this barrier was actually meant to protect humanity.
But even if that were true, he still had to break it.
Because there were great horrors on the planet’s surface, too, and they were already fighting.
Someone as insignificant as him had no chance of surviving that.
The Tai Sui God’s body began to deform and reconfigure at incredible speed. All the sections stained with the Holy Mother’s flesh were moved to its very tip.
Then, with a deafening CRASH, it slammed into the barrier.
The barrier was incredibly thick, but the effect was immediate and potent.
The Holy Mother’s prayers, which had been whispering incessantly in his ear, turned into a shrill, agonized scream.
All of the Holy Mother’s flesh was being annihilated.
[Insufficient Holy Mother biomass to sustain breakthrough of the barrier and enter space.]
The AI reported.
The solution? The AI didn’t have one.
As an auxiliary artificial intelligence, it could only handle battles with a clear advantage, steamrolling weaker opponents.
It couldn’t be relied upon in adverse or desperate situations, as its strengths lay in utilizing information, intelligence, and environmental factors.
Right now, the AI was like Jackie Chan without a furniture store to fight in—its true potential was severely limited.
"Just focus on brute force. Leave the rest to a miracle," Qi Suian said calmly.
The more desperate the situation, the calmer Qi Suian became.
Hormones surging through his system suppressed emotions like fear and anxiety, pushing him toward a state of absolute rationality.
With that command from Qi Suian, the AI instantly maxed out the Wind Master flight system and the micro-elemental particle accelerator.
Holding nothing back, the Tai Sui God pierced through the sealing barrier.
’I guessed right. The barrier wasn’t targeting me, but the Holy Mother,’ Qi Suian thought as he watched the Tai Sui God break through the atmosphere and enter the void of space.
So, as long as the Holy Mother’s flesh was gone, he could pass through without issue.
But why hadn’t he jettisoned the flesh earlier? Because he couldn’t.
Having guessed correctly, his plan was to use the barrier itself as a disinfectant. Either he would escape completely cleansed of the threat, or he would die right there in the barrier.
As he passed through the barrier, large numbers of Angels swarmed to the hole he had created.
These Angels didn’t give chase. Instead, they crowded around the breach, tirelessly working to repair the barrier.
’Just as I thought. I’m not the important one here.’
’My only value came from being targeted by the Holy Mother.’
From start to finish, neither Apocalypse nor the Six Celestial Ancient Qi had ever truly cared about Qi Suian.
He was just a weak outsider. Compared to beings who could end the world just by showing up, his life or death was inconsequential.
Their true opponent was "God Loves the World," an entity on their own level.
"Without the Holy Mother, ’God Loves the World’ probably won’t last much longer." Qi Suian’s gaze fell on the countdown timer for the Doomsday Game’s limited-time event: God Loves the World.
"An hour and a half left."
"This isn’t a good place to linger. Time to get out of here."
If it were only a minute and a half, he might have stuck around to watch the show.
But an hour and a half was too long. Who knew what dangers might arise in that time?
What if, for example, the Six Celestial Ancient Qi decided this little bug was too much of an eyesore and simply crushed him?
The abilities of a Sacred Artifact were bizarre beyond comprehension.
As for what would become of this human planet in the Sacred Artifact World?
They’d just start over and continue their war, most likely.
Apocalypse and the Six Celestial Ancient Qi definitely had the power to create new humans.
As the Tai Sui God sped through the cosmos, Qi Suian checked the survivor count.
"Die, all of you, die..." he muttered under his breath.
There were still seventy-three people left, but the number had stopped falling.
Qi Suian was worried they *wouldn’t* die.
"Come on, don’t do this to me. If you leave me with seventy-three people, what happens to the next Doomsday World? Am I going to be stuck here?" Qi Suian’s face fell.
These remaining survivors had obviously found a safe place or figured out the rules of survival somehow.
Otherwise, they wouldn’t still be alive.
"Don’t tell me I’m going to have to write off another batch of survivors."
The fourth batch of survivors had benefited him greatly, and he had been hoping the fifth batch would bring even bigger surprises.
But now these dregs were left over, which was a huge loss.
"The quality of the survivors is getting higher and higher."
"I guess that’s a sign of the Doomsday Game getting stronger, too."
Qi Suian was speechless at the thought.
The butterfly effect he, a "violator," had created was accelerating the Doomsday Game’s development, which had originally been progressing at a snail’s pace.
If it had been that original reincarnator, would the Doomsday Game ever have experienced a Doomsday World of this difficulty?
Definitely not. They would have just been stuck messing around in the low-tier matches.
"You’ve really had a tough time, being stuck with me," Qi Suian quipped, addressing the game itself.
As for the idea that the Doomsday Game hadn’t gained any benefits from his destructive influence? That was just deluding himself.
At most, the survivor turnover rate was a little high. It probably couldn’t be called a real loss for the game.
"Looks like they’re not all going to die," Qi Suian said, glancing at the countdown timer.
Ten... nine... eight...
As the final second hit zero, Qi Suian instantly lost consciousness.
’Why does the back of my head hurt?’ In the final second before losing consciousness, Qi Suian inexplicably felt a phantom pain.
