"I-I’ll be out in five minutes!" I forced out before slapping a hand on my mouth, when my toes curled, and my heels fell off.
"Okay."
I heard her retreating footsteps, and Zade’s mouth was off my pussy before I could reach heaven.
"You handled that well."
I glared at him, and he laughed, pushing to his feet and leaving me at a loss.
He kissed me, slowly as though he wanted me to know what I taste like.
"Aren’t you gonna make me cum?" The words left my lips before I could stop them.
Zade traced my lips, and my mouth opened as heat raced through my flesh.
"So needy. Wasn’t one enough for my kitten?"
I shook my head, my eyes pleading.
"Unfortunately, I don’t want you satisfied."
Wha-What?
He stepped away. "You told her five, right?" He pulled out a handkerchief and wiped his mouth and jaw. "Then we better get ready."
My nostrils flared as I smoothed down my gown, wore my heels and grabbed my bag. I faced the mirror I’d pressed against moments ago, and I could already feel my skin heating up once again.
Leave it to Zade to bring a girl close to destruction and leave her right in the middle of it.
I’d just finished fixing my lipstick when Zade came up behind me, eyeing me like a beast ready to pounce and devour.
I bet he was thinking about fucking me against this mirror. He had that kink, and it was scarily becoming mine too.
"Here for another short round?"
He smiled, pinning his hand on my waist possessively. "If you wanted me to fill up your pussy with my cock then you should’ve just said so."
"I said yes," I clarified.
"You didn’t specify, darling." He brushed my hair neatly into place, and adjusted my black bow fascinator. "I prefer this look on your face"
"What look?" I asked, turning to face him.
"To be angry at your husband for not fucking you than drowning in your own mind."
I paused at his words before I forced myself to speak
"Was I that gloomy that you had to pull this off?"
"It was a win-win situation."
I snorted, but my amusement disappeared too quickly. I haven’t quite been myself for a while, and Zade was with me through it all.
He held me through the night when I couldn’t sleep, and when I awoke from nightmares, he was there too.
He fixed me meals, never left my side, and went out of his way to make sure everything was ready for today. If I’d handled this alone, my father would probably still be lying in the morgue.
Despite how twisted the situation was, Zade played his role as a husband down to a T, and it made me wonder if I’ve ever been a wife to him.
Ever since we tied the knot, I spent the whole time hating him, thinking of a million ways to kill him, and even went as far as attempting to betray him.
I have made stupid decisions. Many of them originated from my anger and pain. Which is why I didn’t wanna be stuck in that loop again.
"What?" he asked when all I did was just stare at him like he was someone who shouldn’t exist.
I never thought a man could embody so many contradictions so effortlessly until I met Zade Salvero.
"I know who Zade is..." I said, recalling when I asked him who Zade was, but he didn’t have a reply because he spent all his life living up to a reputation.
"Oh yeah?" he mused.
"He’s my husband."
And the man I’d fallen hopelessly in love with, twisted and all.
I should have said that out loud, but I figured now wasn’t the time for that, especially since I don’t know how he was gonna react.
He grinned. "I don’t mind that being what Zade’s all about. It has a nice ring to it. Zade exists solely for his wife."
I stepped closer, resting my hands on his chest, before I smoothed out his tie and then his coat.
"Which is why after this... I don’t want any secrets to be between us."
"What makes you think there are secrets?"
"Annabeth’s diary."
His eyes narrowed.
"I know it’s in your possession. I need you to tell me why you have it and why you felt the need to lock it away."
A knock distracted us. Zade kept his eyes on the door for a moment before darting them back to me, his mood shifting.
"We’ll talk about this later."
I offered a nod only as he walked to the door and opened it. Jade came in.
"Hey!" She embraced me before whispering in my ear. "Now I feel shitty being impatient. Hope I didn’t interrupt."
I cleared my throat as I pulled away from her; my cheeks heated up.
I looked at the door and found Zade gone. Maybe I should have brought that up after the funeral, but it was too late to take that back.
It felt like a weight off my chest, and I hoped with this I could get clarity.
"No," I replied, forcing a smile.
Jade rolled her eyes. "Yeah, sure."
I shrugged. "It was just a kiss, that’s all."
A kiss between the pussy. But that still counts.
"Please tell me you’re ready and not dolling up or something..." Luca said, walking in, dressed smartly in a similar attire to Zade’s. "Why do ladies take extra hours to get ready?"
"Better late than never, right?" I chimed in, and Jade gave me a look. "What?"
"Well, I don’t mean this in a bad way, but I thought you’d be, you know... crying. I’m really glad you aren’t, though; I’m terrible at comforting people. But you get what I mean, right?"
"Yeah, I do. I’m not gonna be crying my eyes out and reaching for my handkerchief every other second, if that’s what you’re wondering."
"O-Okay!"
I knew Jade meant well. She was obviously curious why I wasn’t more broken up about it. But she didn’t know my father. Not the way I did.
"We should get going," I said, leaving the room.
