Chapter 1989: 70: Journey to the Demon Realm (2)

5 min read

Zhang Xiaoman used the Transformation Ability within the Extraordinary Sequence to change his appearance.

This time, he did not come to fight; the main purpose was to search for Ni Yang. If he could avoid trouble, he would try to do so.

After all, this was the territory of the Demon Clan, and on this planet, there was a Demon Commander whose strength was no weaker than his. Forcibly breaking in might not yield any advantage.

Due to his own aesthetic sense, Zhang Xiaoman’s demon appearance wasn’t too outrageous but closely resembled a human.

He appeared like a young human with wings on his back and a pale face, modeled after the Rothschild family’s appearance after being demonized.

Anyway, with all sorts of bizarre demons among the Demon Clan, his kind wasn’t uncommon.

The key was the unique aura on the Demon Clan, which is their important standard for distinguishing friend from foe. Zhang Xiaoman used his Primordial Power to mimic that aura, and unless he encountered someone with equivalent strength, he wouldn’t be easily exposed.

After doing all this, he activated Dark Speed and arrived near the planet. As he approached within a one-star distance, he was intercepted by the Guarding Demons.

"Hold! Ahead is the territory of Lord of Annihilation. Scram, you riffraff!"

The speaker was a massive flesh mountain demon, accompanied by a giant descending hand from the sky. The hand alone was bigger than a small mountain. This guy attacked directly, seemingly intending to crush Zhang Xiaoman with one palm.

"The Demon Clan is indeed kill-loving..."

Zhang Xiaoman sighed secretly in his heart, then, without politeness, directly punched, annihilating most of the flesh mountain demon’s body.

Suffering such a heavy blow, even a lower-level transcendent demon commander couldn’t withstand it, let alone a mere lower control-level little monster.

After a one-shot kill of this monster, the surrounding demons, rather than punishing him, had a complete 180-degree attitudinal shift, becoming submissive.

"The Lord of Annihilation is holding a wine feast, please!"

Zhang Xiaoman curiously asked:

"What? Not stopping me from entering?"

The demon gave a wry smile and said:

"How could we, with your strength, come to Annihilation Star without any issues!"

Zhang Xiaoman shook his head without saying much, then with a flicker, disappeared before them.

Seeing him walk away, those guarding demons secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

"One punch annihilated old Six; even the boss doesn’t have that strength. That guy is probably at least Peak Control Level..."

One demon patted its chest and said.

"Yeah, quite a few big names came for this wine feast, we’d better be cautious. Told old Six to keep his arrogance down, but he wouldn’t listen..."

Another demon replied.

A few guarding demons gathered to discuss, though they were just gatekeepers, their actual strength wasn’t weak. They were at least lower control level, with the strongest being upper control level.

As Zhang Xiaoman had anticipated, entering this planet required no invitation. With sufficient strength, one could come and go freely; otherwise, approaching could immediately result in death and consumption by the guarding demons.

Successfully landing on the planet, Zhang Xiaoman was no longer obstructed by other demons along the way. His appearance and aura throughout were like a demon’s, which ordinary demons couldn’t perceive.

Contrary to the imagined barren scene, this planet, though devoid of vitality, was covered with a kind of dark red hard plant. These plants appeared ugly; calling them plants seemed less fitting than calling them pustules on some giant creature’s surface.

The dark red plants squirmed, and Zhang Xiaoman could sense a faint wave of Dark Spiritual Power from within, with large groups of low-level demons responsible for mining. They extracted their internal tissues through the tube-like tentacles on their bodies and collectively dumped them into a large pool.

These pustule plants also required nourishment. When Zhang Xiaoman explored with Divine Thought, he discovered the nourishment was from dead demon corpses, making him secretly ponder. It seemed Demon Clan’s internal competition was truly fatal; a moment of carelessness could turn one into another’s meal.

Zhang Xiaoman restrained his aura slightly, so as not to be detected by other high-level demons. Once he’d gathered enough information, he planned to leave immediately, while temporarily ignoring the demons here.

Arriving at a place resembling a marketplace, he silently blended in without attracting any demon’s attention.

Here, it resembled both a marketplace and a small town, with numerous demons engaged in some form of trade. What amazed him the most was the presence of many houses in the marketplace, albeit extremely simple, constructed from the desiccated shells of previous pustule plants. This was in itself surprising, as it was Zhang Xiaoman’s first time seeing demons building houses.

On this planet named Annihilation, most were intelligent Primordial Demon Clan. Those dimwitted Derivative Demon Clan didn’t even qualify for entry.
