Huan Cai only shook her head and said:
"No, the will of nature is in a very irritable mood right now. Even I can’t communicate much with it. It must have been provoked by something to become like this."
"Could it be because of the Great Fusion?"
"Hard to say. Maybe the Observer should know something."
At this moment the two of them turned their gazes simultaneously toward the Observer. He had already finished repairing the injuries on his body, but his eyes had never once left that purple Token.
After a long while, the Observer’s voice finally sounded in their minds.
"It was Him who interfered with us."
Ora froze.
"Who?"
As he spoke, he glanced at the Token in Broke Kid’s—no-money’s—hand again and asked:
"You mean this Token interfered with you? Or the master behind it? That guy called Ji Xing? How exactly did He interfere with you, and why is He able to trigger a Spiritual Power Storm of this scale?"
"I don’t know either."
The Observer shook his head.
"You don’t know either!?"
Ora and Huan Cai’s eyes widened at the same time.
They had never imagined they would one day hear the words "I don’t know" come out of this guy’s mouth.
You had to know, this was someone known as the All-Knowing God; you could pretty much say there was nothing in this world he didn’t know. Even the Secret Techniques the two of them cultivated—so long as he was willing to pay the price—he could pry into them with crystal clarity.
So the Observer would never say something like "I don’t know." At most he’d say "I haven’t looked yet," because the former was an insult to him.
Yet now, they had actually heard those three words "I don’t know" from the mouth of this All-Knowing God; it was simply overturning their understanding.
"My Insight has been blocked by an invisible force. Even the Eye of Dawn doesn’t work. What’s more, later on, whenever I used the Eye of Dawn, heaven and earth would begin to collapse, as if trying to stop me from finding any clues about the other side..."
As the Observer spoke, the two of them fell silent. To use this sort of method to stop the Observer from searching for them—this was something they were hearing about for the first time.
"Within the Middle Transcendent Sequence, there is no corresponding element that can do this."
The Observer said this with absolute certainty.
Huan Cai and Ora exchanged a look; in that instant, a sharp light flashed simultaneously in their eyes.
They naturally understood what the Observer meant.
If there was no corresponding element in the Middle Transcendent Sequence that could do this, then that meant the Upper Transcendent Sequence could achieve this Ability?
Thinking of this, waves surged in their hearts.
Who exactly was this Ji Xing? Could he really be an Upper Transcendent Level powerhouse?
But Upper Transcendent Level powerhouses had already disappeared for who knew how long. The only one still known to exist in this world was that being from the Demon Clan.
Don’t tell me... this Ji Xing is the Demon Lord himself? That’s way too ridiculous.
But then they remembered that those Lower God Generals who brought back the Token had said they encountered the other side in the Demon Realm, and the Demon Realm was exactly the Demon Lord’s turf.
As for Strength and such, to those Lower Gods, there was no real difference between Middle Extraordinary Level and Upper Transcendent Level. Either way, both could crush them. It was normal that they couldn’t tell the levels apart.
The more they thought, the more alarmed they became. From their initial complete disdain, they had now turned into half-believing.
To be honest, the main problem was that the place the other party appeared was far too sensitive—right in the Demon Realm. Add to that what the Observer had just said, and they couldn’t help but think in that direction.
"The Seventh Rank of the Upper God Domain—No Breath—should be able to achieve this effect."
The Observer spoke again; he didn’t say much, but every time he opened his mouth it was key information.
"The Seventh Rank..."
Huan Cai’s expression stalled. She hadn’t expected Ji Xing to already be at this Level. If all these speculations were true, then a Dominator Level Upper God appearing in the Demon Realm—what identity was that supposed to be... She didn’t even dare imagine.
"The Seventh Rank is called No Breath? How do you know that?"
Ora blurted out subconsciously. As a Middle-level God, before touching the threshold of Upper Gods, he had no idea what those ten legendary Divine Domains actually were.
However, in the face of his questioning, the Observer didn’t answer. He only turned his head to glance at him, then shifted his gaze back to the Token.
Only now did Ora realize he’d asked a stupid question, and he felt his face burn.
If it were someone else, maybe they’d be bragging, but the person in front of him was the All-Knowing God. Yet he’d actually asked him how he knew—that really was a bit of a brain fart.
"Hmph! Serves you right! Huan Cai, those people like Yao Wu are your subordinates, right! The Token was brought back by them, so you’re responsible for returning it! I’m not touching this matter, and I advise you all to stop here! If you really end up provoking some existence that shouldn’t be provoked, the entire Divine Hidden Palace will be going down with you!"
Perhaps because his pride had taken a hit, Ora found an excuse to dump the pot and then turned around, intending to leave.
However, just as he was about to activate Dark Speed, the Observer’s unhurried voice sounded behind him.
"This may be my first time coming into contact with an Upper God Domain. I intend to give it one more push and try. I hope to break through that shackle and see the truth behind this Token."
At these words, Huan Cai and Ora immediately couldn’t sit still. The latter even directly stopped in his tracks and turned back to glare at him viciously.
"Observer, what the hell are you doing! One disaster like this isn’t enough? Do you have to destroy the Divine Domain before you’re satisfied!?"
Huan Cai also tried to persuade him:
"Observer, we don’t know where the upper limit of No Breath’s Strength lies either. Don’t act rashly. Doing this really could bring us annihilation."
The higher the Level they reached, the more they held a deep reverence toward high-dimensional Strength—unlike that woman Ziwei, who dared, at Middle Control Level, to tear down the Demon God Altar with Zhang Xiaoman.
At these words, the Observer didn’t immediately agree. Instead, he looked at the Token with a hesitant expression.
This kind of chance to come into contact with a Divine Domain—he really didn’t want to give it up.
Besides, as the All-Knowing God, he truly couldn’t just sit by and watch a secret he couldn’t unravel sit there right in front of him. He had to find out whether he could break through the seal of that strange Strength.
To him, "whether or not to look" and "whether or not he can see" were two completely different things.
Seeing the Observer looking like his obsessive-compulsive disorder had flared up, Ora knew there was no way he could talk him around. So he simply couldn’t be bothered to nag him anymore. He just reached out with a big hand and snatched the Token away from him.
Ora’s strike was as swift as lightning. The Observer didn’t even have time to react before the Token in front of him had already been taken.
In the past, Ora could never have pulled off this kind of sneak attack, because the Observer’s powerful Insight gave him a certain degree of foresight, so he didn’t fear sneak attacks at all.
But now it was different. All of the Observer’s observation Abilities were greatly weakened whenever they touched anything related to this Token. In a moment of carelessness, he’d actually let Ora succeed.
Ora was excited as well; he’d finally managed to get something out of this guy’s hands. It was just a shame this thing was too freakish. He didn’t dare keep it. Otherwise he’d have loved to carry it around as a Magic Treasure specially for dealing with that guy.
Just as he was mustering all his Strength and sprinting madly toward the outer reaches of the Domain, an unexpected change occurred: the Token in his hand suddenly emitted a dazzling purple light, and a wave of spatial fluctuation rippled out from it.
The Token had been activated!
