Chapter 1943: 47: Great Fusion (10)

5 min read

A group of more than ten people began a search in this area, and they quickly found clues related to the target.

"Is this... yellow blood? Was it left by that insect?"

Yadun said as he looked at a pool of blood on the ground.

This blood appeared somewhat strange, deep yellow and very viscous, not quite like the blood of a Desert Worm.

"The blood of a Sharp-Horned Worm is green, so this isn’t its blood. It rather seems like..."

Brother Hero fell into thought when he saw this yellow liquid.

He gently dabbed it with his finger and brought it close to his nose to sniff it. His expression froze, and then a look of surprise emerged:

"Spiritual Fluid! This is the spiritual fluid of a Beller drone!"

The others were momentarily stunned, then quickly came to their senses, looking at the liquid with deep confusion.

The so-called spiritual fluid is essentially the ’blood’ inside a Beller drone; every drone contains varying amounts of it.

"A Beller drone? Could it be that the attack we just experienced was from a Beller drone?"

Justin was equally surprised to encounter a Beller drone here, considering these drones were creations of the Star Alliance and were all stationed on the frontline of the Phantom Spirit Star System, fighting against the Insect Race’s army. Logically, they shouldn’t be here or attacking them.

"This isn’t one of our drones; it might be an unowned drone projected from the Second Universe. We haven’t received any reports indicating a drone has arrived on Karon Star."

Brother Hero shook his head, indicating that this thing had nothing to do with the Star Alliance.

Just then, a series of metallic scraping sounds echoed from the forest, followed by a sway in the treetops, from which over a dozen figures emerged.

They were metallic creatures with eight pairs of limbs, looking quite ugly, resembling oversized giant metal insects. Their movement was incredibly fast, quickly surrounding the small group.

Justin assumed a combat stance and alerted the others:

"It’s them! I remember their sounds and outlines. These were the creatures that attacked us!"

"Sss~"

The people around took a sharp intake of breath in surprise.

What are they exactly?

Metallic mechanical insects?

Could it be that the Insect Race has mastered some ability unknown to us, allowing them to transform kin into metallic and mechanical structures? If true, this would greatly enhance their swarm’s defensive capabilities.

"Are these... Beller parasites?"

Compared to those of less experience, Brother Hero recognized these mechanical insects’ identities and origins at a glance.

The people next to him, seeing he understood the situation, blocked the attacking mechanical insects while racking their brains to recall if they had ever heard of such a name.

However, it was apparent that they had little contact with drones. Even Yadun didn’t have relevant knowledge in this area.

Brother Hero quickly explained to them:

"Beller parasites are metal lifeforms that parasitize inside drones. Generally, small drones don’t meet the conditions to nurture such parasites; they only appear inside drones of the Destroyer Level or higher."

He paused at this point, and everyone else realized the implication.

In other words, there is likely a Destroyer Level drone or higher in this area, which is probably an enemy rather than an ally, thereby posing a significant threat to Karon Star’s interior.

A Destroyer Level drone means it’s at least a Controller Level existence.

Though the Phantom Spirit Clan is continually enhancing Divine Revealers’ training, only a handful have reached the Control Level, and they’ve only just stepped over the threshold.

If a Destroyer Level mission drone indeed appears on Karon Star, they would be in a very passive position.

Meanwhile, another large wave of parasites emerged from the forest, looking similar to those previously defeated but far more in number.

There were at least a hundred of these creatures, seemingly targeting them, launching continuous attacks.

Initially, Justin and Yadun’s group managed to hold their ground, but as the parasites kept surging in, they began to falter.

"Hmph!"

Brother Hero snorted coldly, unleashing the momentum of Middle Control Level, instantly sweeping all monsters from the field.

"Such powerful strength! No wonder he’s Lord Divine Messenger!"

Yadun couldn’t help but get excited upon witnessing the display of divine power firsthand.

This was the strength of Lord Divine Messenger, effortlessly dispatching so many monsters with just a wave.

"Follow me!"

Brother Hero, without taking time to converse further, led the group flying deeper into the forest.

"Lord Divine Messenger flew over there! Let’s catch up with him quickly!"

Yadun and others accelerated after Brother Hero, soon arriving at a wide-open area.

"This... this is..."

The group was rendered speechless with astonishment, for where a dense forest should have been, there was now a massive crater, and lying within it was a gigantic drone over a hundred kilometers long.
