Although the Egorovans invited them to stay a little longer, Seiichirou’s party returned to Romany that day. They now had a laundry list of urgent matters to report. Seiichirou deemed it necessary to tell Camile and Yurius the news before Yua.

“I regret that I was unable to spend much time with you, but I am sure that there will be opportunities in the future as our countries deepen their friendship,” Lars said when he saw them off.

Inwardly, Seiichirou was puzzled. Erene, the Sorcery Department, and other diplomatic officials would be handling the matter of the fourth princess. As for the joint research, the bulk of it would take place at the Sorcery Department. Seiichirou didn’t see much opportunity for an accountant like him to meet up with an emissary like the prince.

Lars apparently thought differently. When Seiichirou tried to give a forced smile and a diplomatic response, he took Seiichirou’s hand.

“I was never able to understand romantic feelings. But I was struck by how you, a logical-thinking man like me, dove without hesitation into a place where your very life was at risk.”

His handsome, doll-like face was ever so slightly flushed, and his jade-green eyes brimmed with emotion.

“I’d love to meet someone who inspires the same passion in me,” he said, drawing close. “Someone like you…if possible…”

“Huh?”

As Seiichirou stood there, dumbfounded by the sudden words and actions of this very important negotiator, a black wall appeared before him.

Aresh slapped down Lars’s hand without any thought toward etiquette whatsoever.

“Hey! Aresh!” Seiichirou panicked.

Likewise, Lufina rushed to pull Lars away. “Elder Brother, you mustn’t! That man already has a partner to whom he has dedicated his body and soul!”

Glancing at Lufina, Seiichirou saw that the twelve-year-old princess’s face was bright red.

Could it be that…just like the Sorcery Department people, she…?

Indeed, he did cross paths with her immediately after Aresh had cast his barrier and acclimatized Seiichirou to the magic through some very thorough loving…

At this point, Seiichirou went numb. He swore a vow to watch himself before he ever met up with any perceptive sorcerers henceforth.
