CLICK!
I heard a noise and started to move, but I still couldn’t pry my eyelids open. I snuggled my face into the comforting warmth beside me, the scent and softness lulling me back to sleep.
“Porsche… Porsche,” a soft voice called as a finger poked at my arm, the sensation forcing me to open my eyes. Annoyed, I glanced up at whoever it was who dared to disturb my sleep.
“What?” I asked quietly. Everything started to come into focus. Even though I could remember what happened the night before, my drowsiness was making me fall back asleep.
Kinn didn’t say anything, but he nodded at the door expressionlessly before loosening his hold on me. He shifted over to pillow his own head instead.
“Shit!” I practically jumped off the bed. Kinn shook the arm I’d slept on like he was trying to get rid of the stiffness.
“If… If you’re not ready, we can come back later,” Tay said with a shocked expression. He, Time, Mew, and Pete were at the door, along with Tem and Jom, who looked even more stunned than Kinn’s friends did.
I didn’t say anything, just got off the bed. Kinn laughed, but I didn’t dare lift my head to look anyone in the eye. My face was burning with embarrassment. I walked quickly past the group as they looked between me and Kinn, not caring if I was being rude. I wanted to hit my head against the damn wall! Fuck, they were gonna get the wrong idea!
I made it back to my room. I washed my face and took a piss before trying to decide what I was going to say to my friends. Motherfucker! What they just saw would make their imaginations run wild—seeing me cuddled up to Kinn like that?! Fuck! What should I do? I leaned against the sink as I tried to come up with some kind of explanation. This never would have happened if Kinn hadn’t forced me to. I shouldn’t have given in! I was fucked!
“Eat your food,” my friends told me when I finally got my shit together and tried to act normal, walking out to sit on my bed. I dealt with the food on the overbed table, pretending to be nonchalant even though my heart was pounding wildly in my chest. I shoveled food into my mouth, trying to act like nothing had happened. Tem, Jom, and Pete all crowded around my bed, staring like they were trying to catch me out. The atmosphere was stifling.
“Oh!” Pete suddenly burst out amid the silence, startling me. “So that’s what Arm meant when he said he left you alone all night? Heh.”
I continued to eat like I couldn’t hear him chuckling.
“How… How did you wind up sleeping in Mr. Kinn’s room?” Jom asked, crossing his arms. I glanced over and looked back down.
“Well?” Tem asked.
The air conditioning is fucking freezing, why am I sweating so much? “You all…finished classes pretty early.” I tried to change the subject. Looking at the clock, I saw it was eleven in the morning.
“We only had to turn in our reports today, and we ran into P’Time. He invited us to come over together,” Tem told me. He squinted in suspicion. “You still have to answer us.”
I gulped, grabbed my glass of water, and downed the entire thing.
Pete smiled and casually pulled his chair over. “We came into your room and didn’t see you. We thought the nurses must have taken you somewhere, so we decided to go see Kinn, only to find you guys…hugging…”
“What?! What are you getting at? We’re both men!” I snapped before Pete could finish his sentence.
“Really? That’s it? We’re just surprised, Porsche… Don’t you have something to tell us?” Tem asked seriously.
“No! Why? I went to visit him late last night and I was sleepy. My feet hurt and I was too lazy to walk back to my room, so I asked to stay over and didn’t think much of it,” I said, passing my glass to Pete so he could refill it. Why was my throat so dry?
“Heh,” Pete chuckled.
“What are you laughing for?! I’ll kick your ass!” I lifted my foot to kick at Pete. This fucker! He kept looking at my face and giggling like a fool!
“Are you done eating?” Jom asked. I nodded, and Tem pulled the table away from the bed. I was relieved that they’d stopped giving me the third degree. I leaned back against the headboard and turned on the TV, trying to find something to distract myself from it all.
“What the hell are you doing?!” I yelled at Jom as he climbed up onto my bed. Luckily, I was in a VIP room, so the bed was quite large—but what the hell was he getting up there for?
“What?! You said it yourself that it means nothing. We’re both men,” Jom retorted. I felt my face tighten. Pete and Tem looked on, smiling.
“Kinn’s still recovering from his surgery, but he let you sleep with him with no problem,” Jom told me as he straightened up. “I’m your friend—why did you make such a fuss when I did it?”
“You can go lie down on the sofa over there,” I told him, irritated. I knew he was teasing me.
“But your bed is so much softer! I just want to lie down for a bit. Or, when you went to sleep next to Mr. Kinn, was it because…”
“Fine, fine, if you want to sleep in my bed then sleep in my bed, you bastard!” I cut Jom off before he could continue. I frowned, crossed my arms, and stared at the TV.
