Afterword
HELLO, Natsu here.
I’m thrilled you read Obsessions of an Otome Gamer Volume 2! Thank you very much for picking up a copy and adding it to your collection!
This volume deals with the Middle School Years, so I wrote about the slightly older Mashiro and gang’s struggles, friendship, and the current direction of their love. I hope you were able to enjoy the awkwardness of Kou and Sou at the height of puberty with the mentally older Mashiro.
The secrets about the world Mashiro finds herself in are finally revealed in this volume. At a glance, Mashiro seems like the main character of the story, but in all actuality…there is a greater plot at hand you can look forward to.
I am extremely curious about what you think about the story. If it’s not too much trouble, please leave reviews and comments so I can hear your opinions! I used an English to Japanese dictionary to read through every review left on the previous volume.
Your warm words conveying how much you enjoyed the story are the greatest source of encouragement for me!
The next volume to come out will be determined by a reader poll on whose route you would rather read first: Kou or Sou. They will both be eventually released either way, so you can look forward to that!
Both routes are complete, contained stories, but I have written them in such a way that the reader will gain a deeper understanding of Mashiro and Kon’s world by reading them both.
They aren’t just sweet, lovey-dovey endings. The original title for this story is The Maiden Can’t Save through Music Alone and that plays a critical part in the end. I do, however, promise you that all of Mashiro and Kon’s hard work will certainly pay off in the end.
Last but not least, I want to offer up my deepest gratitude to the talented illustrator of this series, Shoyu-sensei, and to everyone at Cross Infinite World involved in publishing it. Thanks to you, I was able to deliver this series to readers overseas in the best possible way.
Until we meet again in the next volume. I hope to see you until the end of the series!
