"Who are you waiting for to come back?"
A tender voice suddenly sounded at the door, followed by a petite figure squeezing in from the side of the door. Youyou’s silver eyes sparkled with curiosity as she casually walked towards Tingye, not caring even if her little dress got dusty.
Seeing Tingye staring at the cabinet, her little head also leaned over.
"Why are you here?"
Tingye quickly closed the drawer with sharp eyes and nimble hands, blocking Youyou with his small body, and asked with a frown.
"Not even letting me take a look, how can you be so stingy and still be someone’s brother?" Youyou pouted, grumbling unhappily, not answering Tingye’s question, but started fiddling with the puzzle on the table.
"These puzzles look so nice, but they’re already completed, why are they still here?"
"Don’t touch things that aren’t yours!"
Tingye watched as she scattered the puzzle that he and Meimei had completed, his brow furrowing even deeper, his tone unconsciously more serious.
He reached out to clasp Youyou’s wrist, pulling her in front of him, patiently saying, "Don’t tell me I don’t act like a brother; you never thought of me as your brother in the first place. So, tell me, why did you come looking for me?"
"I knew you had good self-awareness. I’m here looking for Jiang Nan, but he went to a speed math class, so he’s not here, so I just thought I’d come up and see you." Youyou pulled her hand back, speaking with a bright smile.
Upon hearing this, Tingye’s face immediately turned dark.
Just a coincidence...
When did his popularity drop so low? Now he has to rely on Jiang Nan, that little troublemaker!
"What are you looking for Jiang Nan for?" Despite being upset, Tingye couldn’t help but ask when he saw how eager she seemed to find Jiang Nan.
"To say goodbye!"
Youyou said carelessly, climbing onto a chair and sitting down, slowly looking up at the stunned Tingye.
"Why are you... so surprised when I say I’m leaving? I thought you’d be happy that I’m going."
"Even you’re leaving now..."
It was as if Tingye hadn’t heard her teasing, with an inexplicable emotion flickering in his dark eyes.
Standing there stiffly, his fists clenched and then relaxed, before clenching again, he forced out a sentence from his lips, "Where are you going?"
"To Sweden, to find my rotten uncle." Youyou lifted her head with a bright smile, as if oblivious to Tingye’s disappointment, she prattled on.
"My rotten grandpa is about to die, and my rotten uncle asked me to go back to see him. Although mom is worried, my rotten dad agreed, and he and mom will accompany me too. I’ve never been to Sweden, and they all say there are castles there, that I’ll become a little princess when I go..."
"..."
Even if you’re not in Sweden, you’re already a little princess, the apple of everyone’s eye.
These words lingered at the tip of Tingye’s tongue, but he didn’t say them, as if saying it out loud would make him seem too reluctant to part with the tiny girl. Though hearing she was leaving did make his heart feel strange, asking her to stay seemed even stranger.
"Your mom doesn’t want you to go, so why don’t you listen to her? Don’t you love your mom the most?" The words circled his mouth several times before, unwillingly, he asked.
The two little girls around them were leaving, leaving him and Jiang Nan behind; how boring life was going to be.
"I love my rotten dad too now, my rotten dad is quite amazing, he knows how to do a lot of things, even the whip, and he’s been spending time with me. If he continues to do so, I might consider forgiving him."
