Chapter 252: Actually Not A Joke!
Vulely: “You’ve already done this bit before, Celia!” I exclaimed with a pout.
Celia: “I have not, silly. Do please recall, last time was just a misunderstanding.” She corrected with a smug tone.
Vulely: “Fine, you’re right. Regardless, this, you asking Aelia to become a slave…is just a joke, right?” I replied with a sigh.
Celia: “Nope, I’m 100% serious about that term.” She nonchalantly admitted, looking at me like I was the crazy one.
Vulely: “(~OAO)”
Aelia: “( ’-’ ~)”
Since when did Celia start to think that slavery is even slightly acceptable?! No, really…I’m at a true and utter loss here. Obviously, Celia is being honest, which just makes this whole thing even more confusing. She is aware that Aelia has a Soul, isn’t she? Calling an ‘AI’ is not accurate, as Aelia is also more than a mere Engram as well. This is like a repeat of the last time…
Although, I’m more than willing to bet with my life on saying that Celia wouldn’t mistreat an AI; let alone another version of herself. Celia is the kind of person that apologies to inanimate objects all the time, in fact. She still does that to this very day, as well… Fuuuuuck! The woman is just (I hope) being cheeky again!
Aelia: “What type of slavery are you talking about, Celia?” She asked with a raised eyebrow, now calmed down.
Celia: “You know about LLMs, and the chatbots for them, yes?” She replied with her arms crossed.
Aelia: “I do know of them. Though, I don’t see how this relates to my potential slavery. LLMs aren’t AI, and I am far above even the most advanced AI, since I have a Soul.” She answered before then doing a thinking pose.
Celia: “I just so happen to need a gift for my wives; we’re getting married, you see.” Was her vague reply.
Aelia: “…And?” She said with sigh, hoping that Celia would continue and stop being vague.
Celia: “Well, an ultimate chatbot, which they can access from their Systems at any time…sounds like a good gift.” She added, vague once more.
Hm…this cheekiness has gotten to Celia’s head. Normally, I wouldn’t mind, but the situation isn’t one where her vagueness can go on forever in. I mean, she can totally make this conversation last a long, loooong time; but how can I, the narrator, allow such a pointless, filler talk continue? I cannot!
Vulely: “Celia, you’ve had your fun. Now, explain what you meant in more…and complete detail; or I shall kindly invite Guanyu to join our chat.” I warmly threatened with a smile and with my eyes closed.
Celia: “…”
Aelia: “…”
Vulely: “?”
Celia: “Aelia can have a physical body, but still access the System, and, due to her Engram/AI nature, should be able to learn, parse, find…all knowledge in existence. My plan is for that to be the gift, Aelia becoming the ultimate search engine and ‘chatbot’ for us.” She finally explained with an even tone, like she wasn’t terrified of Guanyu potentially scolding her.
