Chapter 224: An Overreaction For The History Books.
Guanyu: “Please…forgive me for this. And, Vulely, if you have it in your heart, do not tell Celia about what happened, either.” She pleaded with her head down, even bowing to me.
Vulely: “( o_o)”
Guanyu threatening to take my life over that moan, was, as most people would think, an overreaction. And, the woman’s response to realizing this, what Guanyu is doing right now…is a major overreaction once more. Seriously, Higher Beings are supposed to be far lower maintenance than Mortals!
Of course, if a Higher Being does something stupid, it could mean the very end of whatever Dimension that they were present in during the outburst; but we’ll ignore that. After all, maturity and intelligence develops (eventually) for all Higher Beings, as their lifespans don’t truly have a due date.
Vulely: “It seems that your reaction in this case…wasn’t normal. Why’s that?” I asked with a curious tone, not answering her pleas just yet.
Guanyu: “I forgot myself, where I was… all from being embarrassed. In the Cultivation worlds, such a thing would be worth threatening or killing another over; but that isn’t true for us.” She explained with a sigh.
Vulely: “Ah, I see. Was it just from embarrassment, or from something else? Like, a mental issue?” I replied with a thinking pose.
Guanyu: “For an Immortal, I am perfectly mentally well. Doctor Hoshina has already checked everyone in our group, finding no such illnesses. But, yes, just to be sure, I’ll visit her after this.” She denied with a confident tone.
Reaching her hand out to me, Guanyu smiled, as I didn’t flinch; which showed that I still trust her despite what she did. Unnecessarily healing the wound on my neck, the Cultivator’s expression then went back to a quite grim one.
Friends and family mean a lot to our group, and even more so for Guanyu. Love from her is hard to get, something which one has to earn from the woman first. So, Guanyu doing this to me…must be upsetting to her.
Snap!
Vulely: “(~OAO)”
Guanyu: “Celia, I seriously threatened to kill Vulely, purely because she heard me let out a lewd moan earlier.” She informed after the finger snap, teleporting her wife to us.
Celia: “???”
Vulely: “Wait, why rat yourself out to Celia? I swear, I wasn’t planning on telling her about it, Guanyu…” I say with a remorseful and shocked tone.
Guanyu: “I had a bad reaction to being embarrassed, likely because I haven’t felt that feeling ever before. Regardless, keeping it a secret is far too irresponsible, I cannot stand by doing that. Celia needs to be able to intervene in time if I do this again.” She clarified with a stern expression.
Vulely: “…”
Celia: “You say that, but I doubt that you’d ever do this kind of thing once more.” She said with a bright smile.
Guanyu: “I will not; even if I must injure myself, I promise to never mentally or physically hurt nor threaten our loved ones ever again, Celia.” She swore with the most serious tone and look on her face that I’ve ever seen or heard from her before.
