Chapter 212: Impossible To Control.
In truth, Celia’s time freezing was impossible to notice. Only Guanyu could, purely due to her sensitive to Mana. For us, those who are so used to Mana, Celia’s activation of Time Freeze Magic was…less Mana than the wind tends to blow.
Honestly, I didn’t want to think about all this, how my wife figured out such an absurd thing. Now, it wasn’t something that I could ignore. Clearly, in her boredom from being forced to relax, Celia learned how to do both of those things. Fortunately, she swears that, apart from creating the goodie bags and clothes, Celia didn’t do anything else, and is properly taking a break this time around.
Mena: “Wait a minute… If you didn’t freeze time to find out that revelation about energy resources, does that mean you…learned of those methods in just a few weeks?” She asked with a deeply worried tone.
Celia: “Hm? Oh, yeah, I did. After all, it was just from me watching the flow of Mana, Divinity, and Pure Mana, realizing that everyone always utilized those resources against their proper flow.” She explained with a nonchalant tone.
Maralia: “Then…how long have you known True Time Magic?” She added her own question, tone also worried.
Celia: “Vulely mentioned how taxing and dangerous time travel was, so I tried my hand at finding a better form of it. I made the best form today, and I started thinking about it this morning.” Was her instant answer while she did a thinking pose.
Ria: “And, how come you decided to ignore our wishes and work?” She asked with a raised eyebrow, arms crossed.
Celia: “I got curious about if I could affect the physical, frozen world; so I messed around a bit. Eventually, I lost track of time, doing a bunch of work, etc.” She admitted with a remorseful tone and expression.
Doctor Hoshina very unfortunately came to a sad conclusion on mental handicaps for Higher Beings. Rather, after becoming a God or Goddess, such things should vanish on their own. It, logically, would be seen as an injury of some kind, and thusly healed by Magic or over time.
However, if that handicap, mental health issue, etc. is very much a part of someone’s self-image, or important to their personality, they’d be forged into their very Soul. I bring this up solely because Celia got diagnosed as having ADHD by Hoshina. Considering that, and how she doesn’t lie, it isn’t surprising that Celia got lost in her own little world.
Vulely: “Celia, can you, like, go back in time now? Clearly, my time traveling antics were only, mostly, from you lending me power.” I asked with a serious tone.
Nemu: “Time travel is taxing on the one who does it, and on existence itself. I didn’t notice anything at all, so Celia’s new method legitimately has no downsides.” She added with a praising, yet fearful tone.
Celia: “That’s not true, Nemu. One time freeze took 7,999,999,999,999 MP, so I assume that traveling to the past or future is…off the table, even for me. Though, since the butterfly effect is annoying, I didn’t bother figuring out time travel with this method.” She calmly explained.
Zia: “What if…time travel doesn’t take up more MP than that? It’s a shock that you used MP, as we didn’t notice you doing so.” She asked with a confused thinking pose.
Celia: “I have no idea about that, why my Mana use wasn’t apparent to you all. As for your theory…no, it isn’t possible. Nearly the entirety of my MP was used, and I had to supplement it with Divinity and Pure Mana. I didn’t want to pass out from Mana Starvation, you see; so I’m not aware of the actual cost, nor will I be bothering to cast time freeze Magic again in the future.” She clarified with a sigh.
Zia: “…”
