Chapter 196: The Ending To That Side Quest.
Once Yartiel was back to being calm, no longer affected by her arousal, the tone of our…little talk got more serious. After all, the longer this goes on, the less Divinity/Mana the woman has to create more Hobgoblins. Yartiel also can’t recharge while I’m so close to her.
If I wanted to, merely chaining Yartiel down for a few hours would solve that Monster hoard problem. However, it didn’t really matter; considering that Celia wasn’t truly threatened by those foes, not even slightly. And, as a Higher Being… it really is quite nice seeing a fellow Immortal look so very overwhelmed, stressed, and desperate. I could do without the added sexual frustration, to be honest…
Yartiel: “Now, will I be dying by your hands, Miss Vulely? You have yet to even attack me, but, I can imagine that you merely have the bare minimum of…decency to not murder someone while they’re distracted and vulnerable during their self-love.” She asked with an anxious tone.
Vulely: “Our group, while not stating it as a standard policy, typically doesn’t kill unless needed. Do not mistake our ruthlessness with your Monsters to be how we operate; those are Soulless and non-thinking beings, ones not worthy of giving mercy to.” I answered with a light giggle.
Yartiel: “…”
In truth, this Will won’t be dying today, nor are we going to hurt her. Why? Simple: Yartiel is one of Runeth’s destined lovers; so, of course, taking her life is not on the table at all. Although, even if she wasn’t, we still wouldn’t off her.
Yartiel was directly planning on killing Celia, but said plan of hers was very, very poorly constructed. Rather, this is just a spur of the moment, random Higher Being thing. For Immortals, taking lives isn’t really that big of a deal; especially for someone like Yartiel, who is far out of the range of Celia’s influence. Besides, this did make for a good bit of entertainment; I even apologized to my wife earlier with ease!
Yartiel: “Is all that to say… that I won’t die today? Despite how I am still, at the very moment, sending Monsters to fruitlessly attack your lover?” She asked with an unsure tone and expression.
Vulely: “There isn’t a single person of our group that’d be killed in this trap of yours, Yartiel. In fact, Celia and I can easily leave, whenever we please.” I explained in reply, with a somewhat smug tone.
Yartiel: “L-leave? Impossible! Regardless of your power, this Dimension is under my control; neither of you can access Mana or Divinity. Though, I’ll admit to being…impressed with the raw strength that you two possess….” She replied with a tone of disbelief; my wife now behind her, accidentally doing so silently.
After Celia Proved That We Could Leave!
You see, during that talk, my wife had culled the remaining Hobgoblins, without Yartiel noticing. As Celia showed off how she could leave and come back, Yartiel surrendered then and there.
Thankfully, to not have a repeat of last time, Celia was quick and blunt about there being no consequences for Yartiel’s crimes; and that she should visit our Estate in Home. Prior to her agreeing and coming with us, we weren’t aware of Yartiel being one of Runeth’s destined lovers; so this ended up being a weird, roundabout gift for our daughter, funnily enough.
