Chapter 31: All the Gods

Noah’s POV

"Noah" the white wooden door suddenly opens just two minutes after Elias walked out, and Lucas walks in.

Is there ever a breathing space for me in this house?

The bodyguard’s familiar face looks more at ease with me than the first day he introduced himself to me.

"Hey, you have ten minutes to get ready for breakfast" he says and I look down at my blanket covered body.

I can feel the slow trickle of cum and slick sliding down my legs, my lower body is wet with different liquids that I can’t even begin to name, my hair is sticking up at odd angles and I have...ten minutes?

Ten measly minutes?

"Ten minutes won’t work" I tell the alpha and he gives me a sorry look.

"That’s how much time Elias is giving you, Mr. Deus"

"It’s Noah" I snap at him and I immediately regret it. I don’t mean to be rude to him, after all he’s not the reason for my agitation.

"I’m sorry, Lucas, I didn’t mean to snap at you" I apologize, and the man gives me a faint smile.

He doesn’t look offended, and maybe that’s just the side effect of living with people as evil as the Deus. These villains hurt and dehumanize you so bad that disrespect feels normal.

I hope I never get to this point...

"There’s nothing to be sorry for, Mr. er...Noah" he corrects himself, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly before he continues to talk.

"You just came out of heat, and I know it gets really stressful for omegas" he says.

Of course he knows about my heat. Is there anyone that doesn’t know about my degradation in this place?

I huff and turn my back to him.

"When does my ten minutes start?" I ask as I head for Elias’s average sized wardrobe.

"Two minutes ago. You can go wash up and I’ll pick out something for you" Lucas offers, but I refuse.

If picking out what to wear by myself is the only say I will be given in this place, then I’d have it. I’ll hold on to it, and I’ll enjoy it.

In fact, I’ll dress up to give Elias the biggest middle finger possible.

I open the door and frown at everything in front of me. The alpha’s fashion scene is glaringly boring. There are only black clothes, a few white clothes, and some comfortable looking hoodies.

What I’m about to do makes me feel like a teenager, but it’s my only way to fight without letting him hurt anyone else.

I pick out the most expensive looking shirt in the wardrobe, and like ten other shirts here, it’s black, and has golden buttons.

This is what I’ll wear to breakfast with the monsters.

I’m about to tug the shirt on in rebellion before Lucas interrupts me.

"Uh...he insists you should wash up, he emphasized on how strong your post-heat scent is" he says and I notice the way his nose twitches.

Why didn’t he tell me I still smell strongly?

"I hate Elias so much" I groan and Lucas chuckles behind me.

"Well Noah, it’s nice to have you back. The ’I want Elias’ Noah was a bit difficult to work with" he says with laughter and I glare at him.

That was my biology, not me. It was just biology.

"Am I really going to meet Darius Deus?" I ask quietly, and Lucas nods. He takes a step towards me, and I don’t flinch away from him.

Maybe it’s because of his warm smile, or how he protected me from Aria, but I stand still.

"One day, Noah, you’ll open your eyes" he says.

"My eyes are wide open" I counter him.

"There’s so much you need to learn" the alpha tells me quietly and I shake my head with pride.

"I’ve learned all I need to learn" I put some distance between us, lifting my chin as I tell him what I know.

"The Deus are the evil ones, they have no limit, no conscience and definitely no heart" I say and Lucas shakes his head like he’s pitying me.

"Just...just don’t repeat that in front of Darius, he doesn’t take things like that lightly" he advises me and returns to standing by the door.

"You’re almost late, Mr. Deus" he says and I hiss at him.

"My name’s Noah" I say before going into the bathroom.

I stand under the shower for a quick wash. I’m sure there are still unmentionable liquids on me, and I’m walking with a limp, but it’s nothing to be compared to the anxiety building up in me.

I’m meeting Darius Deus.

Dad once taught me of how mentally unstable he is, some countries have a silent law of doubling their security whenever he’s visiting.

"Noah" Lucas calls from outside and I finally come out of the bathroom fully dressed.

Elias’s shirt sits on me with the obvious tell that it’s big on me. I tug on it to make it look better, and it doesn’t really help.

"Let’s go" Lucas says, placing a pair of shoes in front of me.

They’re the shoes I was wearing when they took me. They have been washed clean, yet the memory they carry is still painfully vivid.

Instead of saying something in protest, I put them on, noting how they look mismatched with what I’m wearing.

"Let’s go" I repeat Lucas’ words and follow him out of the room.

As I walk down the hallway, a few maids steal glances at me. I can tell that some are curious, and I can tell that some are just judging me.

The young governor’s son who begged his city’s destroyer to take him.

"We’re late by five minutes" Lucas whispers when we get to the door of the dining room, and I gulp.

"He won’t- he won’t hurt anyone for this...would he?" I ask, unbothered, Lucas shrugs and opens the door for me.

I take a step in and I’m immediately glued to the floor by the eyes of every single member of the Deus family.

The Gods.
