For five years now, I’ve wanted to write a romcom with zombies as the subject, but I’d given up on the idea after often hearing that light novels about zombies didn’t sell.
But last year, I couldn’t take it anymore and sent in a proposal on a whim, so I was surprised when it got picked up without a hitch. Perhaps it was because my previous work, The Girl Who Came In First Place at the Best Potential Bride Contest Has Me Under Her Thumb, had been very well received. As I always thought, girls who have you under their thumb are the right way to go.
Hi, everyone, I’m Ryou Iwanami, the author of this book. I started working at a gaming company last year because I really wanted to work with younger women. It turned out to be hopeless, though, because the job is completely remote, so I have no opportunities whatsoever to interact with my colleagues.
To brighten up my day, TwinBox drew these beautiful illustrations for me. Both the color pictures and black-and-white ones are all perfect, and I give thanks for them each and every day. I’m so glad to be alive…!!
