Synopsis
A man is thrust into a mysterious holographic game where he discovers his memory has been erased and his family has suffered. He must navigate a world that blends science with metaphysical horror while searching for a non-human partner named Jiang Ce. This work reads like a dark infinite flow narrative, blending the high-concept mystery of cosmic horror with the tropes of systemic death games. It is intended for readers who appreciate experimental BL, metaphysical themes, and tragic, non-traditional endings. However, those seeking a developed romance or a fleshed-out plot should skip it entirely. The pacing is abrupt, as the author attempts to condense a millennium of history and a complex rebellion against absolute power into a very brief format. The standout quality is the ambitious, albeit underdeveloped, fusion of fantasy and technology.

Editorial Review
From an editorial standpoint, Guide is less a novel and more a conceptual exercise. The strongest element is the imaginative premise, which successfully weaves together elements of memory loss, non-human entities, and a deceptive game-like reality. However, the execution is severely lacking. With a total of only two chapters, the story is unable to deliver on any of its promises. The characters remain sketches, and the overarching plot regarding a 300-year plan is mentioned but never explored. While marked as completed, the brevity makes it feel like a discarded draft or a practice piece. There is simply not enough content to justify the completed status or to provide a satisfying narrative arc. It serves as a curiosity for those interested in the author's early attempts, but it lacks the substance required for a meaningful recommendation.
