From an editorial perspective, the novel's primary strength lies in its evocative high-concept premise. The idea of dream control and the quest for immortality provides a strong foundation for a supernatural BL narrative. However, the execution is severely hampered by its length. With only two chapters and a status of "completed," the work is less of a novel and more of a flash-fiction exercise. There is simply not enough room to establish the relationship between Chu Yannan and Liu Jiuyue or to explore the world's mechanics. While the conceptual seeds are interesting, the lack of substance makes it impossible to provide a satisfying narrative arc.
