From an editorial standpoint, this work presents a compelling initial hook. The blend of historical political strife and supernatural mysticism creates a strong foundation for a BL fantasy. However, the most glaring issue is the length. Despite being marked as completed, the novel consists of only two chapters. This is fundamentally insufficient to develop the plot, explore the relationship between Bai Siqi and Li Yun, or resolve the political crisis established in the opening. While the premise is evocative, the execution is non-existent due to the lack of content. It feels less like a completed story and more like a conceptual sketch or an abandoned project. The gap between the ambitious scope of the description and the actual chapter count makes it impossible to recommend as a satisfying reading experience.
