Chapter 28: Honeymoon (1)

Sienna shook her head. "I was just thinking..."

He waited patiently.

"...that if I’d known we were going to your island tonight, I wouldn’t have worn heels."

Zachary looked down briefly before chuckling. "I was wondering why your face suddenly turned so serious."

"I was imagining myself trying to walk around an island in stilettos."

"No worry, my wife, I would’ve carried you."

His answer came so naturally that she stared at him for a second.

Sienna shook her head. "Mr. Sterling, you say that so confidently."

"Because I mean it," he said casually. Then he smiled without taking his eyes off the road. "My wife will not be walking around the island in high heels."

Their laughter filled the quiet car, making the drive feel even shorter.

Before long, they reached the harbor.

The sports car gradually slowed before coming to a stop beside a magnificent luxury yacht, the kind Sienna had only ever seen in movies, magazines, or on the evening news.

Several crew members stood neatly lined up on the dock, waiting respectfully for their arrival.

Completely captivated by the yacht, Sienna remained staring through the window, taking in its elegant size and sparkling lights.

She was so distracted that she didn’t even notice Zachary had already gotten out of the car.

A moment later, he opened her door and extended his hand toward her.

"Come, my dear."

She smiled and gently took his hand. "Thank you."

With his steady support, she stepped out of the car.

As they approached the yacht together, the crew greeted them politely and welcomed them aboard.

Zachary acknowledged each greeting with a courteous nod before briefly speaking with the captain and a few crew members near the entrance.

Only after everything was settled did he gently guide Sienna onto the yacht. His hand never left hers as he carefully helped her board, making sure she didn’t lose her balance in her heels.

Inside, the yacht was every bit as luxurious as its exterior. Soft lighting, elegant furnishings, and large windows overlooking the dark sea created a peaceful atmosphere.

Rather than giving her an immediate tour of the yacht, Zachary led her to the comfortable lounge area.

He waited until she sat down before taking the seat beside her.

"Are you tired?" he asked, his voice filled with quiet concern.

Sienna smiled and slowly shook her head.

"No." Her eyes wandered around the beautifully decorated lounge before returning to him. "I’m just amazed by everything you’ve planned."

A satisfied smile appeared on Zachary’s face.

"I just wanted to make this moment special for us."

As he spoke, he slipped one arm gently around her shoulders and pulled her closer until she was comfortably resting against him.

"Get some rest," he said softly. "It will take about an hour before we arrive."

Sienna didn’t argue. She naturally leaned against his shoulder, listening to the gentle sound of the waves as the yacht slowly left the harbor.

Wrapped safely in his embrace, she closed her eyes for a while, allowing herself to relax as their honeymoon quietly began.

...

After resting for a while, Sienna slowly opened her eyes. At the same moment, she felt the yacht begin to slow down.

She straightened slightly and looked toward the large glass windows overlooking the sea. Outside, all she could see was darkness stretching across the water, with only a few distant lights shimmering near the shore.

"Have we arrived?" she asked.

Zachary nodded.

"We’ve reached the island," he said. "The captain is docking the yacht now. It should only take a few more minutes."

While they waited, Sienna reached for her Birkin bag and took out her phone.

She had just remembered they were on a private island, and curiosity made her wonder whether there was any signal there.

The moment the screen lit up, her eyes widened.

"Wow..."

She stared at the full signal bars before looking at Zachary.

"There’s actually a signal here?"

He chuckled at her surprised expression.

"Of course," Zachary said. His eyes shifted briefly to the phone in her hand. "Who are you planning to call?"

Sienna immediately opened her contacts. When Skylar’s name appeared on the screen, her smile softened.

"Our son," she replied happily. "I don’t want him to wake up tomorrow and think we abandoned him."

Zachary laughed quietly. "My wife, he’s already asleep."

Only then did Sienna notice the time displayed on her phone. It was almost midnight. She let out a small sigh. "You’re right."

She felt a little disappointed with herself. She should have called Skylar before they left the restaurant. Now he was probably sleeping peacefully, unaware that his parents wouldn’t be coming home tonight.

Seeing the change in her expression, Zachary gently wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer.

"My wife..."

His voice was soft enough to immediately draw her attention.

When she looked at him, he smiled reassuringly.

"You don’t have to feel guilty."

She blinked.

"Sky already knows we’re going on our honeymoon."

Sienna stared at him in complete surprise. For a moment, she couldn’t even respond.

’Sky already knows?’ Her thoughts quickly caught up with his words. ’So... everyone knew except me?’

The realization was so unexpected that she couldn’t help laughing to herself. She shook her head in disbelief before looking back at him.

"Since when did he know?"

Zachary smiled, clearly amused by her reaction.

"Since I started planning this a week ago."

Her eyes grew even wider. "A whole week?"

He nodded.

Sienna laughed. "Oh my goodness. How did such a little boy manage to keep a secret for an entire week?"

Zachary couldn’t help laughing with her. "He was actually very proud of himself."

"I can’t believe it." She shook her head again, smiling. "I thought I knew all of Sky’s little secrets."

"Apparently, he inherited my ability to keep surprises."

She raised an eyebrow. "Your ability?"

"Hmm."

"I don’t know about that."

"You’ve been surprised all day."

She laughed. "Well, I’ll admit you win this time."

Satisfied with that answer, Zachary smiled triumphantly.

Sienna decided she would call Skylar first thing in the morning instead.
