"There is no ’later’! Mr. Jiang, you’re a very nice person, but I’m six or seven years older than you. I’m not interested in guys younger than me, do you understand?" Li Mingxi said coldly. Jiang Shiming let out a breath of relief. "So what you care about is our age difference?"

"No." Li Mingxi shut the door and said impatiently, "Anyway, I don’t like you. Stop coming to bother me."

With that, she strode toward the elevator.

"Mingxi..." Jiang Shiming steadied himself and was about to step forward again when a hand clamped down on his shoulder.

He turned and saw Xiao Lang’s dark expression.

"Let go of me!" Jiang Shiming glared at him in hostility.

Xiao Lang said coldly, "She told you not to bother her. You didn’t understand? Remember this: from now on, you’re not allowed to harass her."

"Who the hell do you think you are?!" Jiang Shiming tried to pry his hand off, but Xiao Lang’s grip was so strong he couldn’t budge it.

Jiang Shiming used all his strength, his face flushing red, but still couldn’t pry him off.

"If you don’t let go now, I’m not going to be polite to you!" he threatened viciously.

Xiao Lang let out a cold laugh.

Just then, the elevator doors opened.

He looked at Li Mingxi. "You go first."

Li Mingxi glanced at them, then decisively stepped into the elevator.

The elevator doors closed, cutting her off from Xiao Lang and the others.

With Li Mingxi no longer present, Jiang Shiming’s true nature immediately surfaced, and he swung a punch at Xiao Lang.

Xiao Lang abruptly caught his fist in his hand.

Jiang Shiming froze. He tried to lift a leg to kick him, but Xiao Lang moved faster—he shoved him hard, and Jiang Shiming staggered back several steps, almost falling.

He walked toward him, a chill glint in his eyes. "Who you are has nothing to do with me. But remember one thing: Li Mingxi is mine. You stay the hell away from her."

Jiang Shiming’s eyes widened. "Oh, so you’ve got bad intentions toward Mingxi! Just you wait. I’ll definitely get rid of you and make you regret messing with me!"

Jiang Shiming turned and headed for the elevator.

Just as the elevator doors slid open, someone yanked him back hard, and he fell to the floor in an undignified heap.

Jiang Shiming lifted his head in fury, only to meet Xiao Lang’s cold, sinister gaze.

Xiao Lang stood inside the elevator, tall and straight, looking down at him from above, like he was staring at an ant.

Jiang Shiming was stunned, a strange wave of fear rising from deep inside.
