His lips were as warm as she remembered, softly pressing against hers without leaving any gap to breathe. He pried open her teeth, and his nimble tongue ventured in, savoring the sweet and sticky essence within.

She wanted to retreat, but he wrapped his tongue around hers, forcing her to entwine with him.

The familiar taste filled their mouths, and a strange warmth flowed through their bodies.

Her body gradually became weak...

He held her, and after a long while, his thin lips finally left hers.

She was already exhausted, slumped against him, panting heavily.

He studied her blushing face closely, then his gaze lingered on her swollen and moist lips. With a prideful arrogance, he uttered, "Remember my tyranny. From now on, I won’t allow you to mention another man in front of me... In your eyes, in your heart, there should only be me."

As he spoke these domineering words, a hint of sweetness welled up in her heart.

Such possessive words, he had never spoken to her before...

Only now did she realize, this is what loving someone truly is.

He caught her in a daze, asking, "What are you thinking again?"

She blushed with embarrassment, "No... nothing." She certainly couldn’t admit to him that she was indulging in his earlier domineering words!

He wrapped an arm around her shoulders, letting her rest on his broad shoulder, "From now on, I will never let you leave me again."

She smiled slightly, her gaze inadvertently looked out the window, and suddenly, she raised her head and asked in confusion, "This doesn’t seem like the way home."

Chester smiled and nodded, "Since you finally accepted me today, shouldn’t we find a place to celebrate?"

Her delicate brows furrowed slightly, "Have dinner outside?"

"Yes."

"But Rachel is at home, as well as Mrs. Geoffrey and Christine."

Chester’s lips curved into a smile, "When I left, Christine and Aunt PA both told me they’d take good care of Rachel, so we don’t need to go home tonight..."

"Why?"

The smile on Chester’s lips deepened, and his eyes showed an unusual gleam, "What do you think?"

Alice still shook her head in puzzlement.

Chester leaned in close to Alice’s ear and whispered, "They’re afraid that our noise will disturb Rachel sleeping next door."

Alice’s face instantly flushed to her ears, and she gently pinched his thigh.

He laughed aloud, affectionately pecking her lips.

Chester led Alice out of the car.

The luxurious hotel in front of them was very familiar to Alice; it was the one Chester frequently stayed at when he came to Paris.

The hotel’s food was naturally impeccable, but it was indeed a public place.

Alice hesitated in place, her feet not following Chester toward the hotel.

Chester turned back, seeing Alice frowning slightly, "What’s wrong?"

Alice gently freed her hand from Chester’s, "Let’s change the place..."

Chester’s expression darkened, "Why?"

"This is a place where people of status and importance gather, there will be many reporters capturing stories here."

"What are you afraid of?"

"The last news hasn’t faded yet, if the reporters catch us together this time, I’m afraid..."

Alice’s words were cut off by Chester, "If the reporters catch us together, we’ll openly admit it."

Alice lowered her head and murmured, "I don’t want to."

He caught her mumbling with his sharp ears and walked to her front, his serious face breaking into a smile, "Why not?"

Alice lowered her head, speaking softly, "In the eyes of the world, I am Claud’s girlfriend."

"I can publicly say that you and Claud broke up a month ago."

"I just broke up and I’m with you... what will others think of me?" Her reputation was already very bad.

"They’ll just think we rekindled our old flame, after all, the whole world knows Rachel is my daughter."

"But..."

He lifted her lowered head, speaking earnestly, "I’ll solve all the problems after we’re together, all you need to do is stay by my side."

Under the glowing neon of the hotel’s entrance, their eyes locked together.

Though he had lost weight, he was still as handsome as ever.

She gazed at him deeply.

Memories of their entanglement over the years flashed through her mind...

Suddenly, she reached out and hugged him.

He was a little surprised but tightly held her in his embrace.

She buried her head in his chest, tears choking her, "Am I dreaming right now?"

He shook his head, his strong arms seeming to want to meld her into his very being, "I’m sorry, I realized it too late... making you suffer so much for me."

She shook her head vigorously, but tears still disobediently soaked his shirt.

He lifted her head, "Silly, why are you crying?"

Her eyes were filled with tears, crying like a child, "Brother, can I really rely on you in the future?"

"You’re not allowed to call me brother anymore, from now on, you can only call me Chester... I will give you all the support."

Bitterness stuck in Alice’s throat, leaving her unable to speak further.

He gently wiped the tears from her face, tenderly saying, "Be good, call me ’Chester’ and let me hear it."

It seemed to take her all her energy to rasp, "...Chester."

He laughed, bending down to kiss her forehead, "Call me that a few more times tonight."

Her tears fell even harder...

She never imagined a day like this would come when she could call him so intimately to his face.

Is she really not dreaming right now?

Does he truly love her?

Suddenly, a flashbulb lit up nearby.

Alice snapped back to reality, spotting a camera hidden in the flowerbed. "There really are reporters."

He actually just wrapped her in his arms and walked straight into the hotel, "Let them take their pictures!"

Alice no longer hesitated, snuggling by his side with a sweet smile.

After dinner, Alice and Chester went to the room they had booked.

At that moment, Chester was opening wine, while Alice stood on the hotel balcony, gazing at the night view of Paris.

The wind on the balcony was rather strong, it blew against the collar of her white shirt as she hugged herself, quietly contemplating the city’s lights and colors.
