A little more than ten minutes later, the Mountain Lion Legion's first volley of arrows crashes down. Henwell neither dodges nor blocks. He simply walks forward with a calm expression.
The moment the arrows reach two meters from his body, they are twisted into powder by an invisible force.
One volley.
Two volleys.
Three volleys.
Henwell does not suffer the slightest injury.
By then, Henwell is only a little more than twenty meters away from the Mountain Lion Legion's front line.
The spearmen and shield soldiers in the front ranks start to retreat, but they are suppressed by the officers behind them.
Henwell raises his war spear and points it at the Mountain Lion Legion's formation.
"Will you fight or not?!"
Under the reinforcement of Blood Will, Henwell's voice spreads several miles away.
Behind him, the Iron Guard Warband immediately roars in unison, "Will you fight or not!"
"Will you fight or not!"
"Will you fight or not!"
The entire battlefield echoes with the furious roars of the Iron Guard Warband and the soldiers of the Formation Breaker Legion.
The Mountain Lion Legion's front ranks collapse.
Henwell swings his war spear forward.
"Crush them!"
Amid the long blast of horns, the Iron Guard Warband advances with shields raised and spears leveled.
Henwell suddenly drives both feet into the ground.
The ground beneath him collapses across more than ten meters. His body shoots up like a cannonball, leaping nearly a hundred meters before smashing into the Mountain Lion Legion's formation.
He lands like a heavy shell.
All enemies within more than ten meters around him are swept clean.
The soldiers nearby do not even leave bodies behind. Those slightly farther away are thrown back, bleeding from every opening in their faces.
Henwell takes another step, crossing more than ten meters. The war spear in his hands comes down like thunder.
A passage three meters wide and more than twenty meters long is instantly cleared through the enemy formation.
Then Henwell leaps again.
He drags the war spear through the air and smashes down, opening an even longer path of blood and flesh.
The war spear in his hands is more than four meters long. Its one-meter blade whirls up and down, cutting through men and armor alike.
His strength is too terrifying.
Even Glory Knight-rank professionals cannot resist Henwell, let alone ordinary soldiers and knights of the Mountain Lion Legion.
Within three meters of Henwell, a death zone forms.
Anyone who touches his weapon is struck as if by a shell. Knights and ordinary soldiers become equal there, all reduced to shattered flesh.
"Who will stop him?" Grand Duke Quinns asks in a deep voice.
The knights beside him remain silent.
They have not expected Henwell to be this terrifying.
They know Henwell is powerful and able to stand against ten thousand men, but seeing it with their own eyes is an entirely different matter.
Facing Henwell like this, they feel as if they are facing something inhuman.
Grand Duke Quinns says slowly, "Pass down the order. Whoever can wound the lord of Blood Hill will be rewarded with ten thousand gold coins and receive noble rank. If he already has a title, he will be raised by one rank. Bring up the ballistae. Do not worry about hitting our own men."
Some of the knights move at once to relay the order.
The observers farther away also look at Henwell in shock.
Everyone who witnesses this scene silently reaches the same conclusion.
They must never, under any circumstances, fight Henwell directly.
Half an hour later, Henwell stops killing.
It is not because he is tired. It is because he has already killed enough.
In this short half hour, at least a thousand soldiers of the Mountain Lion Legion have died at Henwell's hands.
Because of him, an entire Mountain Lion Legion warband collapses.
At this time, the Formation Breaker Legion's warbands have already crushed the flanks and the garrison legions on both sides, completing the encirclement of the Mountain Lion Legion.
The Iron Guard Warband, the core force selected as candidates for the Lord Iron Guards, is also slaughtering through the Mountain Lion Legion's formation.
The Iron Guard Warband is composed almost entirely of elite officers and knight-rank professionals.
Their martial skills, equipment, and tactical coordination are all top level.
Against such a force, the Mountain Lion Legion has no ability to resist.
Soon, the whole Mountain Lion Legion is surrounded and driven back toward Cellarwine City.
An hour later, the remnants of the Mountain Lion Legion are blocked beneath Cellarwine City's wall.
Grand Duke Quinns is surrounded.
Jonathan's reinforcements still have not arrived.
Grand Duke Quinns raises his hands and shouts, "I surrender!"
Henwell points at him.
"Leave none alive!"
The Iron Guard Warband and the Formation Breaker Legion immediately continue the slaughter.
Before long, Grand Duke Quinns and a group of captive nobles are brought before Henwell.
Henwell looks at Iron Guard Commander Reavis and asks, "Did I not say to leave none alive?"
Reavis hesitates for a moment and asks, "My lord, does that include Grand Duke Quinns?"
Henwell looks at him calmly.
"Do I need to repeat my order?"
Reavis lowers his head at once.
"No, my lord."
A moment later, Grand Duke Quinns's head is delivered to Henwell.
Henwell raises the head and looks toward Cellarwine City's wall.
"Arius, your Grand Duke Quinns is dead. Why has Jonathan still not arrived?"
After saying this, Henwell throws the head toward the city wall.
The head arcs through the air and flies straight toward Arius.
Arius catches the head with one hand and glances at it.
It is indeed Grand Duke Quinns.
Arius looks at Henwell beneath the wall.
Henwell says, "A meeting gift."
Arius smiles.
"A fine gift. Will you come up for a cup of tea?"
Henwell waves a hand.
"No. I still have to hurry back for dinner. Pick out the best wine in Cellarwine City for me. I will come take it tomorrow."
Arius says, "Then bring me some Peace Haven combat rations."
Henwell points at the camp in the distance.
"My men are hungry too. I need to hurry back and feed them."
With that, Henwell turns away from the city wall.
The observers in the distance are still stunned by the execution of Grand Duke Quinns.
Then they see Henwell leave Cellarwine City's wall and charge back toward his own camp.
The two garrison legions that had been blocking his rear begin to flee.
