Chapter 208: 208/The Kitten’s Flight Robert’s POV
Julie trembled, her voice thick with panic. "I just wanted to justify the mistake with that video!"
"Do you even know who he is?" she cried, reaching for the phone. "He’s a Professor! If he writes a report against me at the University, what am I supposed to do?"
Right then, the phone vibrated in my palm. A message popped up: "Yes, let’s meet. To talk, walk, or maybe discuss your studies." I scrolled through the chat, my eyes burning.
"Really, Julie?" I said, my voice dropping to a terrifying, mocking low. "He tells you to call him Edward, and you’re too stupid to see he’s hitting on you?"
"It means you think he’s doing this out of the goodness of his heart?" I countered with a killing coldness.
"Fine." I kept my eyes on the screen and started typing with lethal precision: "Edward... yes, I want to meet you."
I typed back with a demonic smirk: "Today."
"I’m going to show you his true colors," I said, shunting her away with my other arm.
I typed back with pure malice: "Edward... why do I feel like you see me as more than just your student?"
"Be patient and watch," I growled.
I kept the game going: "Yes. Do you like me?"
But the reply was fast and revealing: "So much... you make me forget I’m your professor. Damn it, Julie, I didn’t think you’d notice."
"I’m... I’m shocked," she whispered, backing away.
He replied eagerly: "Alright, Julie."
"Because," I said, headed toward my clothes with a chilling indifference, "I’m going to kill him."
Julie’s POV
He pulled on his luxury suit and dressed with a cold-blooded calm that made my blood boil. "Robert! I’m talking to you!" I yelled, shaking his shoulder. Suddenly, he spun around and gripped my waist so hard it knocked the air out of me.
My eyes nearly popped out of my head. I’m talking about a murder, and he’s talking about his dick getting hard! "You won’t kill him... right?" I pleaded one last time. He didn’t answer.
My God, what kind of man is he? Is he really going to do it?
I searched the pockets with trembling hands, hoping for cash. Nothing but credit cards. Damn it. Men like him don’t carry cash, and cards won’t help me now.
He dropped the weights and looked me over. "Hello, little one. No idea. Do you need something?"
"Sure," he said simply. "How much?"
He stood up, wiping the sweat off his brow. "The money’s in my room."
"Going somewhere?" he asked curiously.
He went in, grabbed his wallet, and handed me the cash with a mysterious smile. "Good luck."
The lock clicked open. Oh Julie, thank God you’re smart enough to remember the code Robert used.
"Taxi!" I screamed. I scrambled into the back seat, panting. "To the public park near the University, please."
Diego’s POV
I grabbed my phone off the table and dialed the number. It rang once. "Yes, Diego. What do you want this morning?"
The voice on the other end filled with triumph. "That’s brilliant news! I’ll tell my men; they’re already waiting outside."
"Understood, Diego."
