Chapter 526: Pampering The Wife.

The young man finished dealing with everything and after the leisurely evening, he got everyone ready to board the plane and they headed back to the capital. Although the children loved their home, but they could not leave Snow to struggle alone out in the world, could they. In the ancient times the people were kept at bay by the mere presence of the emperor in the capital. This is a new world; however, the human psychology is the same. They all felt deterred by the presence of a young man who stood by his wife. Leo Cardinal had an effect on the people, they either wanted to be like him or they wanted to hide from him so that he does not find out the dirt they have under their soles. The people were indeed like that, after the incident with the reporters, Harvey realized the weight Leo had in the world, he appeared to be silent and calm like a mountain but if he made his move, he could and would smash the world into a different picture.

The word of the warning issued by the Prime Minister spread out to the rest of the Sigil Families. They didn't expect Leo to have such a force. As the Prime Minister, Huston Aries got to meet with the King on a daily basis, and whenever he met, something or the other would come up and it would highlight the skill and power Leo had developed in a short time, this was why he was wary of this young man.

The Sigil Families have tried to be as clean as possible over the years, because they always knew that the KIng had a force that watched over everyone, it was such a deeply hidden network that none of them have managed to find out how it worked, but one thing was sure, there were people in the plain sight. However, even if the King closed one eye to let them do what they wanted, Leo was a sword who would not hold back. This was why they were all worried, and started to clean up their acts thoroughly.

Leo didn't care what was going on in the minds of the people. He only wanted to build a good and peaceful world for his children. He knew that it was too big of a task, however, he feared nothing. With those thoughts in his mind, he reached the mansion in the capital with three babies in his arms. They had all fallen asleep in the car, and he still managed to scoop them all out of the car and bring them back to their rooms. The twins went in first, and Lily came in the second trip.

The eldest one had a silly smile on her face, and Leo pecked her forehead as he said, "Go easy on the enemy, little goblin."

Lily hummed and continued to sleep, and after he finished doing things, he took a deep breath and went to his own room, because he had a few things to do. The second project in the growth of the human race had begun. Leo wanted to create a virtual world where the people could gather and exchange skills, come up with martial techniques that could actually make a slight difference to their physical bodies so that when they go to the space, they would be able to handle things better. However, he could not handle this task alone, and would need to partner with some of the best companies around the world, and that was his task, to filter out the bad fish in the sea to find the good ones.

He sat down in front of the computer and began to crunch down on the system; his efficiency was high but infiltrating these big companies was much harder than finding out things about some solo hacker who is raising a ruckus. Leo was calm and patient, so he was not in a hurry to get things done in a blink. He filtered out results one after the other, and it was a simple thing, he made an Excel of the list, of the candidates he wanted to poach.

He was poaching a lot of companies and not simple technicians, because he needed to find the money to fund this project, although he was rich but he was not going to pour it all in so that some dumbass could stand up and kick him in the shin causing him to lose money. Leo was beyond those days, the people wanted a piece of the cake, they will get a piece, but he will hold the knife to control who gets how much.

He wanted to call these people together, and using their expertise he would have his own people guide them all, if they fail to meet the standards, and the skills, then he can discard them and train his own people to rise above. This was the reality of the capitalistic world that these people dwelled in, if you cannot do things, then we can always pay someone else to get them done, and Leo wanted to have them experience the same thing.

After burning the midnight oil, he stopped and called Percie in the morning, right as he was cooking breakfast, and when the call was answered, he replied, "President, good morning."

Leo replied, "Good morning, I send you a list and a proposal, get these people on board as soon as possible, give them the stake I mentioned and if someone disagrees, find the replacement I mentioned in the list, get things going."

Percie opened her eyes and she replied, "Okay, Sir, let me see what it is."

That was it, the call finished and then Leo finished brushing up the sumptuous breakfast for his children and wife. The family ate with relish and Lily picked up her bag to go to school. It was Monday and the family had to go and handle their stuff. Leo was about to leave, when he spotted Snow was dozing off, she seemed exhausted. The young man sighed, he looked at her assistant, who had come over to greet her in the morning, and asked, "Does she have any big meetings today?"

The lady shook her head and replied, "No, there is nothing that needs to alarm her, the bills she proposed have been passed by the cabinet and even the parliament is functioning nice, though she has to attend a charity event in the evening. It is to raise funds for the people of the eastern high peaks, they faced an earthquake, and so it is important."

Leo sighed and replied, "Then please arrange for her to take half day of leave. Also, can I accompany her in the charity event?"

The assistant nodded and replied, "That would be wonderful sir."

Leo finished dealing with that, and picked up the half-asleep Snow from the chair, which startled her awake, she protested, "What are you doing? I have to go to the office."

Leo shook his head and replied, "No, you need to get some sleep, it is not the time for you to head to the office, because you are exhausted. So, you will be spending the day sleeping and catching up with rest, and the only engagement you have today is the charity dinner, and I will come with you so that the people can stay away and not bother you."

Snow was left speechless, she sighed and replied, "Fine, whatever you say."

Leo tucked her in and left the room, but not before he turned off the lights, and closed the door from outside. Then he picked up Lily and dropped her to school, then he came back and looked after the twins, and then he taught them to play a little game, the tic tac toe, and Julian and Elena were both smart, they learned things quickly and began to play with great intelligence as well.

Leo smiled, and watched them play and enjoy it, meanwhile Leo prepared for lunch, since Snow was home, he thought of treating her with her favorite food. He also kept an eye on his wife to make sure that the lady doesn't try to work up in secret. It was noon, when Leo found Snow and she was surprised to see him cooking her favorite dishes, because usually it was all that Lily or the twins liked.

She sat down on the table and asked, "What is going on? Why are you pampering me so much?"

Leo smiled and replied, "Why else? Didn't you complain that your hair was falling off from stress? That is why I am pampering you so that I don't have a moon head for a wife."

Snow reached out and playfully smacked his shoulder and remarked, "Meanie, does this mean you would not love me if I was bald?"

Leo smiled and leaned in closer to her as he whispered, "I would love you anyhow, and if you were bald."

Snow blushed when she sensed his intensity, and then she shook here head before they ate the food slowly.
