Chapter 518: E

When Trevor woke up, he found himself in a hospital, he was confused. The last event in his mind was his confrontation with Dawn at the highway, how did he get here? He sat up in his bed and looked around. Suddenly, the door slid open and a nurse entered the room. Trevor wanted to ask her something but looking at her gruffy expression he swallowed his words. The nurse had a tough built as if she was a body builder. Perhaps she sensed his gaze and asked, "Do you feel any discomfort?"

As she spoke, she approached Trevor and checked his vitals, and then she said, "I will send in the people, they have been waiting to talk to you for quite a few hours now."

Trevor had regained his senses and his head was aching, all he remembered was the fact that Dawn had kicked him in the head so hard that he almost died. The nurse left the room, and Trevor tried to get up, but he realized that his hands were tied to the bed with cuffs. He froze and he realized that he was being detained, and just when he wanted to vent his hatred, the door of the ward was pushed open and a couple of middle-aged men stepped inside with grim expressions.

The man in lead said, "Although I am not a firm believer that children always act like their parents, but you surely are an apple that didn’t fell far from the tree, aren’t you, Trevor Hymn?"

Trevor shivered and he barked, "What the hell are you talking about?"

The other middle-aged man replied, "You will know what I am talking about soon in the precinct. Trevor Hymn, you are under arrest for bombing the Heavenly Magic restaurant. You are charged with arson, attempt of murder and lastly act of terrorism. You have the right to stay silent, and anything and everything that you say could be and would be used against you in the court of law. You have a right to a phone call, and you have the right to a lawyer, if you cannot afford that, the state will appoint one for you. "

That said, they didn’t even give Trevor the chance to process what was happening to him when they cuffed his hands together and took him away forcefully. The young man was trying to put some resistance, but the grip of these two rendered it all useless.

Hao Ren issued the command and then he himself set off to handle a few things. While some cities were just under attack, there were some cities that have fallen down to the demon attacks. Hao Ren didn’t want to just recapture twelve cities as a minimum standard, but he wanted to handle the demon cities as well, and then try to get out some information from the demon commanders, as they were old relics and probably knew where the demons all originated from.

Han Lingshi had also gone out to slay some demons with Ye Lan. They were both stronger together, and they have developed a way of fighting that was very suitable for them. Along with Ye Lan, they had Ye Yin in the fray as well, and the latter was even more ferocious than the two of them combined. Han Lingshi had told Hao Ren earlier, that unless Han Lingshi scolded Ye Yin, she didn’t even let any demon run close to her, nearly drying out all the merit points that Han Lingshi wanted.

After a few hours, Hao Ren came to stand before a big city, it was covered with a red veil. Hao Ren knew that this place was a demon city.

He had been using the communicator and the small airborne station to gather all the details, and it helped him locate these far located cities. As soon as he appeared outside the city the demons on the city wall noticed him and they began to growl.

Hao Ren didn’t bother and yelled, "Shut the fuck up, dogs, call your commander, I came here to fight him and not you lot."

His aura was unleashed and the situation turned rather quickly. The Demon generals from inside the city appeared on the city walls but they didn’t attack him, they were all wary, because a human commander was higher in terms of aura and spiritual suppression. Just then a black humanoid appeared in the void, his height was slightly taller than Hao Ren. The demon commander walked out of the city and stood in front of the young man, as he asked, "Did you wish to seek death so much that you delivered yourself on my doorstep?"

Hao Ren looked at the guy and said, "I have no idea why you losers all like to talk so much."

Then his eyes flashed and he vanished from his spot. The Demon Commander had no idea why this young human had come to his doorstep but he was surely not letting this guy run away. He attacked in counter, but Hao Ren was clever, he had only pretended to charge, but he waited for the demon commander to attack before he said, "Demon Suppression Fist."

His punch moved through the void, and it was followed by a sonic wave. He skillfully avoided the incoming attack and then ducked to the side before his own fist collided with the body of the demon. Hao Ren had not yet mastered the attack but his punch still carried the trace of energy that was so pure that it caused the demon commander’s organs to twist and shiver before he was sent back flying.

That was all he needed to do, the energy of the demon suppression skill was radiating through the body of the demon commander and it immobilized him. Hao Ren still wanted to be sure and said, "Demon Suppression Seal."

He made a seal and then he looked towards the city, his flames roared, they also changed a little, they had a golden gleam on them as they flooded the city and burned out all the demons inside, even Demon rats were not spared by the flames. As if the flames had eyes, the minion demons all vanished, and then Hao Ren approached the Demon Commander laying on the ground and walked up to him before he asked, "Do you know where the demons originate from?"

The hypnotic skill just directly over took the mind of the sacred Demon General. He said, "We come from the Tchala Land. It is a realm beyond the Eternal battlefield."

Hao Ren nodded and asked, "How many cities are there in the Eternal Battlefield?"

The demon general replied, "There used to be ninety-nine, but now only fifty remain."

Hao Ren asked again, "How many cities do you control and what do you mean by the existence of fifty cities?"

"We have destroyed a lot of cities, and now only fifty remain. We control thirty cities and now only nine more remain, they will crumble under the siege." Hao Ren sighed and then he raised his hand and slashed the head of the demon commander’s head off.

The young man sighed and then he walked inside the city. He used his senses and found a city commanding seal buried in the center of the seal, The demons had no desire to increase the territory, they were doing this because they wanted to remove the seal, and then evive the Archdemon. However, Hao Ren knew that the way to stop these demons lay in handing over controls of the cities to the Heavenly Commander realm people and then build a close network to fight the demon raids off.

He dug out the seal from the ground, and found that the jade seal was completely black, it had been contaminated by the demonic energy infused in it over the years, and it also had some vague cracks on the surface. The young man thought for a bit and then he found the few things in the eternal battle list, these were to purify the objects of the demonic energy and so, taking out the vail of a liquid called the Purification Ember Tears.

He poured a drop of the liquid on the seal, and the demonic energy gradually seeped out of the seal like it was black gas. After a few minutes the jade seal regained its white appearance and Hao Ren channeled his pure yang spiritual energy in the jade seal. The artifact had regained some of its luster back again and the young man sighed before he stored the seal away. Then he covered the whole place into an illusion array and then several layers of killing array before he headed back to the Floating Moon City.

When he returned he found that all the Ye generals have come back as well, he asked them, "How did it go?" Ye Si replied, "All is cleared up, we have twelve cities under our control now. However, the demons will come back to attack us soon."
